Let me start by saying I am a travel agent that has traveled all over the world, and our stay at Los Milagros was certainly one of the highlights of our many destinations. If you are a mega resort lover that enjoys the palapa bar, loud music and crowds of people, then the Los Milagros is not for you. If you are looking for a quaint, charming boutique hotel that is located in the heart of Cabo within walking distance to all the best restaurants, marina, nightlife, and the beach then you will love the Los Milagros. Don't let the downtown area scare you. Once you pass through the gates of the hotel you are in a lovely courtyard, which offers a splash pool, soft music playing and a peaceful serenity that is wonderful. We stayed in the penthouse, which I recommend. It has a small kitchen, with microwave, stove and refrigerator. The hotel has 12 rooms which is perfect for a family reunion. Sandra has plans to extend the hotel which will even be better. I think the most wonderful part of our trip, was that staying at the Los Milagros was hassle free, we never had to worry about transportation we walked everywhere. If you are seeking that quaint, rustic, peaceful oasis then you will enjoy your stay at Los Milagros. Sandra's prices are so great, it makes your stay that much more enjoyable. Kudo's to you Sandra!!! We can hardly wait to return. Try the La Dolce, for Italian and the Patagonia for wonderful argentine beef, and the Dockside Bar at the Marina for drinks......and just think you can walk

Los Milagros is Cabo’s hidden gem! Discreet and poetically enchanting, the hotel welcomes you with a warm embrace of light breeze as you enter the enclosed courtyard. Whether you succumb to the urge of a midday siesta under the abundant foliage, read a book while sitting by the pool getting slightly distracted by the birds chirping or choose to stargaze on the upper deck under the spell of flickering candle lights letting the subtle murmur of the ambient music transport you, the atmosphere will enrobe you. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The beach is only minutes walking distance and so is the intensity of the streets party buzz. The hosts are very friendly, helpful and give great food and activity suggestions. Los Milagros is the best deal in town and I highly recommend staying there!

Upon arrival it was everything that was said by people about it being a luscious oasis. It is a beautiful hotel with greenery and stucco/tile all around making it a great place just to sit and relax. Located in the very heart of Downtown it could not be a better location. The room was also very nice. Cleaned every day. New soap and towels every day. Yes there were plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery. The staff keep the entire courtyard and terraces super clean every day and the pool is perfect for cooling off after walking in the sweltering heat. Also cameras cover the courtyard and each guest is given a front door key so that the door can be locked at 9PM for security.
Before I list the bad, I'll call this part neutral because many posts here try to offer something that should not usually be expected, causing some people to whine. The legend of Sandra. During our stay she was just that. A legend. Upon arrival we were given our keys by one of the housekeepers because there was noone else around. During our stay there was a front desk guy around from time to time and we probably spoke two words to each other the entire stay and that was only to tell me how much I owed for my stay. Again I call this neutral because I dont expect the kind of service people are saying Sandra gives them, but I do expect a hello or welcome.

Now to the bad.

on our second day of our stay while we were relaxing in the courtyard a young rough looking guy checked in and immidiately introduced himself to everyone in the courtyard and proceded to inform us of the drugs he can provide us and how messed up he was right now. He was put in the room directly below us. Every time we left our room or came back at night he was either sitting out in front of his room ready to push us more to buy something from him or he would appear from out of the shadows near the entrance to ask us what we needed before recognizing us as guests of the hotel. He was usually so messed up he didn't even recognize us at first.
There are tv's in the rooms but if you want the A/C turned on just forget about being able to hear anything.
The hotel is being expanded onto the open lot next door. It will be about three times bigger. They are working on clearing the area right now using jackhammers. The jackhammering begins around 7am just inches away from your head on the other side of the wall.

So without the drug dealers and construction, this is one hell of a nice place to stay.
Even though we could not use credit card etc and the booking system was non existant we did have our room booked and we were charged the correct price.

Management response from cabogirl, owner
(Management representative)
Jul 6, 2006
I was so sorry to hear of your experience at my hotel, yet I was also very glad you mentioned your observations. Firstly I am so sorry that I was not there to take care of you personally as I was away from my hotel for ten days. I am usually on site each and every day to see that guests are comfortable and all of their questions answered. With the help of your honest review and the installation of my new security system I was able to address the problem regarding my unsavoury guest with the authorities. Running a public hotel does not allow me to discriminate whom I allow to enter, however the problem was acted upon immediately because of your comments, and for that I thank you.,
Please note I am indeed expanding the hotel but what I am building at the moment is a water storage facility for my hotel. The enitre downtown area has been experiencing water shortages. The construction starts promptly at 9AM and NOT before.

Horrible place. Smelled bad. was on a dingy side street. Looks GREAT in the photos though. This is something I would expect if I was roughing it in Thailand or something along those lines. Not sure how the other reviews, describe this place as the best of anything but somehow they do. Oh and only upon checkout were we told it was cash only. We only stayed for 10 minutes but got the privilege of paying two full days.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights and loved it. It is a quaint hotel with a lot of
character. The location is prime, steps away from nightlife and a short walk to the beach.
Sandra the owner couldn't be nicer , she gives great advise and recommendation on where and how to go places in the area. The courtyard and patio's are very relaxing, in the early evening the guests mingle and talk about their day among other things. I am a travel agent and would highly recommend this small, clean, comfortable hotel to almost anyone. It is not for people that like high end full service resorts, it is simple and charming.
