“Authentic experience! I loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2011

I absolutely loved this place! The owners and their staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible Cabo experience. From suggesting places to go and things to do, all the way to making sure we got the biggest discounts, they really want you to have a great time.
Our room was clean and we had daily maid service, as well as fresh linens. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated! You don't just have to hang out in your room, because there are plenty of places to gather with friends. On the 3rd floor is a small pool and a living area, perfect to enjoy a lovely evening, as almost the whole floor is open to the air through the shade of a huge old tree.
We went fishing on our last full day there and the owners and all the staff joined together to cook it for us that night. We had a big dinner with everyone in the courtyard. It was delicious! Don't miss this place if you go to Cabo...it's a must!

Economical and always informative! The hosts are always helpful with all the activities booking and I am very satisfied with their recommendations. Luv it! It has a very stylistic deco too. Thanx Victor & family! We had a great stay! :)

Stayed at this great little inn during a 5 day solo, first time visit to the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I felt the rooms were leaps and bounds above what you should expect given the inn's location and price point. If you like to hole up in your room all day you will be disappointed. Whether by design or not, the rooms encourage you to spend time in the common areas. The common areas are colorful, warm and inspire exploration of the "grounds" so to speak.
Not enough can be said about the staff of the Cabo Inn. While there, I was quickly indoctrinated into the Inn's protocols which are slightly reminiscent of a hostel. Victor and Maria had sound advice to give on discovering Cabo solo. They were also instrumental in arranging a rental car on my second day and an ATV tour on my last full day. Their advice was above reproach on every subject matter.
The Rooms: This is not a resort, it's an inn. Trip Advisor rates it at 2 stars. This rating has to be based strictly on size and style of the room and amenities of the property. The rooms are basic and the amenities difficult to quantify. My room, Standard with a Queen bed, had all the plumbing (shower, toilet and sink) on a raised platform with a privacy wall separating it from the rest of the room. The plumbing/bathroom area was just big enough to get the job done. The queen bed was a basic mattress on a raised platform in lieu of a frame and boxspring. A built-in table and chest and closet rod with shelf makes up the furnishings. A window A/C unit cools the room down in minutes as they ask you to leave it off while away. I had no problems with this and rarely used it at all as the ceiling fan usually kept the room quite comfortable.....but I'm from Houston so your mileage may vary.
Common areas: Downstairs in the courtyard is a dining table and kitchenette. There are baskets in the fridge in which to keep any groceries, a coffee pot automatically makes a big pot of coffee for the entire place around 6-7 in the morning, a two burner propane cooktop if you are so inclined, filtered water faucet in the sink and TV. The third floor/roof has a small pool/hottub (I don't know which as I didn't get in) and lounge area. All the common areas are brightly decorated and have lots of plants. The Wi-fi was the fastest connection I experienced while in the area.
I would recommend staying here for uniqueness alone. As an airline pilot, I stay in a lot of hotels and tend to prefer atmosphere over amenities when on vacation. However, the staff of the Cabo Inn really put it on a "must stay" list for me.

Room Tip: Each room is unique, so ask to see upon check-in.

We got the deal 80 with a rental care with full insurance, picked the car up at the airport and dropped it off right before we left. It made the most of our time and money. Its a funky low end motel (if you are used to traveling 3rd world, non american chain, mid range, you will love it) Its got a roof top pool (which we never made it to) soft beds and nice helpful staff. Its just outside the tourist trap of high prices but only by 1 block!!!! So we could have a cheap breakfast with fresh squeezed OJ, and walk two blocks for dinner at a nice restaurant later and a game of foosball. I always felt safe....more than other near by towns. I'll come back here for sure. three thumbs up.

The outdoor environment is ok, the pool is actually a large cement hot tub. The rooms are very small and beds uncomfortable. If you are just going to stay a night or 2 then moving on then the affordability is a plus.

The whole premises have so much character and color, I think pics of the hotel make up at least 1/3 of all the shots I took on my trip. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful (all English-speaking), street activity was seen and heard from the balcony, the roof was quiet and peaceful, the other guests are generally social. Easy walk to the beach, nightlife and shopping and to local restaurants. They even held on to my luggage after check out so I could visit the beach again before my ride to the airport.

I moved to San Lucas and while looking for a place to rent, I stayed at this hotel. The owner and staff were fantastic and very helpful in all my needs. The hotel is very charming and the courtyard was a great place to meet fellow travellers. The rooms are basic but the prices are more then fair. The location is perfect on a quiet side street and very close to everything. Only a two minute walk to everything.
