We rented a condo at Missones in February from an owner. If you're expecting a full-blown resort with all the trimmings this isn't it. OK tennis courts with night lighting, no gym, no spa, no entertainment. It's a few miles from town so it's not full of rowdy spring-breakers. Some days we were the only ones at the taco bar pool that was well heated. For some reason the best wireless internet is at the pool so bring your laptop. Misions is a nice place to unwind and relax. The beach in front is ok for swimming or sunning - the other beach facing town has a decent shore break. Apparently some outfit from the states bought the property and has grand plans for upgrades and new villas. There was a lot of remodeling going on during the day but this was not a problem. We found it more relaxing than the bigger resorts. All units have full kitchens and Costco is just up the road. We liked the place.

We booked through a charter company. We had an ocean front room, 1 bedroom, full kitchen. It also had a beautiful 16 x 20 patio with table for 4, with privacy for sunbathing.

We had no problem with theft, we even forgot and left money around while house keeping was in.The room would not pass the white glove test, but hey neither will my house. There were no bugs, and yes there was a free shuttle to town. There are 2 pools with bars.

The unit was one of the older ones, we befriended a group that had a new unit- gorgeous. There are major renovations going on at the resort. Bring your own snorkeling gear as there is great fish off the beach but no rentals available. Eat at Villa Serena up the street, you get 2 huge lobster tails for $9.95

I would go back in a heart beat. I was weary because of previous posts on this web site and only booked 1 week instead of 2. Stay 2 weeks you won't regret it.

We had a most lovely stay at the Misiones Resort in a beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath room overlooking the small cove and beach. The condo was clean and
very well appointed with a leather sectional, big screen TV, marble floors, granite countertops,
dark wood cabinets and large bathrooms with walkin showers. We had tacos and beer at the swim up bar our first afternoon there and then had breakfast every morning at the resort's restaraunt. We found everything to be priced reasonably and the views of
the bay and arch are awesome!
We have rebooked another week's stay for this July.

While Misiones has potential, beautiful location, nicely kept grounds - we ended up leaving this resort early. Fridge so noisy we had to unplug at night, other annoying electical hums, complained but no results, on the 4th day we discovered $75 in ones had been stolen from in a zippered bag in our suitcase in our closet, other items such as cameras had been rifled thru, staff was unapoligetic, in fact they blamed us!!!

Do not stay here.....

When we first got to Misiones we were thought the grounds and pool were very beautiful. The room, while old, looked interesting, except for the ant colony in the jacuzzi on the patio, the place appeared well maintained and clean. But don't let the looks deceive you, there seems to be a serious theft problem and the management does everything in their power to stonewall you so that you will not report it to the police.

We had minor complaints, the management took three days to locate an iron and coffee machine for us, and the refrigerator was so noisy that we had to turn it off for the night in order to sleep. Also, the architecture of the air-conditioning systems made it so that whenever a nearby room’s air-conditioner would go off it would "rumble" the fillings right out of your teeth. All this was minor to what happened to us on the fifth day.

We came back from the hotel "sponsored" timeshare presentation only to find all our suitcases, camera-bags, and clothes had been ransacked. We had a stash of $1 bills that was to large to carry in our wallet that was stolen. While it was not a lot of money, were were still violated.

This is where the scam starts. We immediately reported it to the front desk, who called the front desk manager, who feels that this is too much responsibility for him and has to call the actual manager who will be there in five minutes. Well those five minutes turn into half an hour and then he tells you the manager will be at least another hour and when he comes back he will drive us to the Cabo police station to file a report. We figured this “stall” tactic was going to take all day, which it probably would have, so we told them we were going to pack up and leave immediately and to check us out.

Then the management then tried to blame us for letting this problem continue because we wouldn’t waste an entire day playing their "stall" game and actually file a police report. We told them it was their fault for not trying to police their own staff.

This place is a thieves den and I can tell you if you stay there your stuff will be ransacked and any money you have in your luggage will be stolen. We were not the first, and will not be the last.

Avoid this place!
