My wife and I stayed at Misiones in January, 2004, and loved it. We learned a long time ago that if you rent a unit from a full time owner instead of the hotel, you will encounter less problems because of "pride of ownership". We found the one bedroom condo on vrbo and had dozens to choose from in Cabo. We liked the pictures of the living room, kitchen, bedroom and view on the website so we knew exactly what our unit would look like, rather than leave it up to where the front desk wanted to put us. One reason we chose our unit is because it had a washer and dryer, so we didn't have to deal with maids. It also had a propane BBQ on the balcony for cooking, which was very convenient. After we emailed the owner for information, he called and told us all about the condo and the resort. He recommended we rent a car because "there is no free shuttle" and cabs in Cabo are expensive. He also emailed us tons of info on Cabo that saved us time and money. We didn't sit or drink at the pool, but we did buy tacos at the pool bar and enjoy them on our large balcony as we watched the boats go buy. Another bonus at Misiones, the private beach. No vendors here. Misiones is not a 5 star resort but for the money it was a nice, relaxing place to spend a week.
