While looking for a hotel that was right on the marina so that I could ensure my elderly father would have the ability to dine in different restaurants and see some of Cabo (outside of the hotel), I selected the Fiesta Marina and had a great experience.
I found the hotel staff to be extremely accommodating that included my request for a chaise lounge to be brought up from the pool area and placed on our balcony for the week that we were there, in addition to providing a wheelchair for the week that we stayed at this hotel. All of the staff were extremely friendly, drinks were reasonably priced at the hotel bar and the free American-style breakfast that came with the room package was very good.
Note: I agree with the reviewer that commented about avoiding the pool area buffet as they leave the serving spoons for each dish out and I also saw birds standing on them and picking at them.
The pool maintenance staff was meticulous about cleaning and maintaining a clean swimming pool. There is a workout area that I never noticed anyone using and it had a decent array of workout equipment (could use a treadmill, although I suppose there are plenty of walking and running opportunities on the marina itself).
Were there timeshare salespeople in the lobby, yes there were, however, they took NO as a response and were not the harassing type that another reviewer mentioned. For all of the people that described the timeshare sales reps. As a nightmare – get a backbone for god’s sake!!
Everything was in walking distance including the entire marina, Cabo Wabo, The Office, etc.
I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

When we first walked into the Marina Fiesta "resort" it looked inviting. The staff could have been more attentive, but they did help us with our luggage. After we check in, the harassment began. Every time we stepped into the lobby we were asked to see one of their timeshare properties. It was extremely annoying.

The pool area was nice and the staff there were good at what they do. I would avoid the buffet as they leave the serving spoons for each dish out and I saw birds standing on them and picking at them and then reused by patrons.

Then the nightmare began. We went out for dinner one night and while we were gone, a hotel employee entered our room and stole a blackberry and went through our belongings, leaving them all over the floor. We asked security to come up (we found out later there is no real security, all the young employees just switch jobs as needed) and then came up and told us we probably lost it and started to go through our things. They dug through our drawers and purses and then accused us of trashing the room. We had them run off the entry log to our room and found sometime entered using a keycard while we are at dinner. At that point the "security" guy told us he was going to call the police on us because the room was trashed. This went on and on until we finally kicked him out of our room.

The next day we decided to leave as they wouldn't help us, wouldn't change the keycards to others didn't have access to our rooms and continued to turn off our room phones so we couldn't call out. We ended up feeling violated and unsafe in this place. STEER CLEAR!!

Having been to Cabo many times we knew we would be assaulted by timeshare salespeople at the airport the moment we arrived, and were prepared to fend them off.
However, we were not prepared for the same treatment at our hotel. After check-in we were turned over to a woman who we were told would give us a 'welcome package'.
We were shown the hotel amenities, given a voucher for a free drink at the hotel bar, and then began the grillling about what presentation we had signed up for at the airport, what we were offered, how much cash, on and on. She assured us we would do better to go with the new resort she was pushing, other salespeople were liars, etc. We finally managed to extricate ourselves from her and get to our rooms On our way to breakfast the next morning we were accosted in the lobby, by TWO salespeople who kept hammering on us, followed us to the hotel gate, while my husband and I kept telling them to leave us alone, we weren't interested. I was on the verge of tears, and I thought my husband was going to get physical with the salesman. We again escaped by leaving the hotel property. This happened yet again the next day. It frankly ruined our vacation.

we stayed two weeks at the Marina Fiesta and began to think of it as home. It is friendly, relaxing and comfortable. The size of the resort the closeness to all of Cabo and the warm friendly people made out stay very enjoyable. People who have complained about the noise must have had a suite right on the street, we faced the Marina but on the back end of the resort and did when we closed the patio door at night could not hear a thing.

Warning: Do not ever refer freinds and especially families to this resort. Very poor customer service! Both at the Marina Fiesta and Hacienda Encantada
