I'm a budget traveller and love finding deals in expensive cities (50 USD). This hotel is not for people who expect to be pandered to. The accomodations were roomy, though the bed was hard...really hard. We were on the ground floor so had a balcony near the pool which was great.

The staff was really nice and they kept everything clean. The pool was beautiful and once you are in this court yard, you would have no idea you are just off the main road through town. Room comes with a continental breakfast in the court yard...just a warning...the coffee is terrible, so if you are like me and can't even consider leaving the house before coffee, bring a press pot and make your own.

The beach is an easy walk away and you end up on a public part of the beach without hotels (walk through the hotel parking lot at the end of the street). There is a little indepentant resturant that we just hung out at all day (Tabasco's). Ordering is complicated since all drinks are two for one. one is two and two can be two or four?? the more you consume the more complicated it becomes...likely becaue the staff is funning with you ;-)

Great time would definatly go again.

Just returned 2/28/07 from Cabo. We stayed at a very small hotel called Villa La Paloma, on highway at the entrance to Cabo San Lucas. Very plain from outside, but court yard had lovely pool, palm trees, umbrella tables and breakfast bar. Rooms were spacious, clean but 11 years old and some crumbly cement in bathroom....but it is Mexico and is typical I hear. Each room has kitchen, living room and bedroom and bath and price is $77 a night. There is a disgusting abondened lot next door litered with debris that was awful, but if you can look past that, the location was great for us. We were able to walk to a lovely swimming beach 10 minutes from us, bull fight ring 1 block left, dozens of restaurants, and only 10 minute walk to Marina and Mall. We walked to all our evening meals, all $20 or less for wonderful seafood, Mexican food and steaks. The best was a new place called Puerto San Lucas Family Restaurant on Callejon Marquez de Leon Street, just few feet off of Lazara Cardenas, the main street. Service was terrific, and food the best. Others we enjoyed was Zapatas, Stop Light and Cheeseburger on the Marina. Lennys Deli had the best breakfasts! We only drank bottled water, ate no lettuce and no one got ill. We took Princessa Catamaran for $39 at Marina dock D and they took us on a nice trip for visual tour of Arch, Lovers Beach, seals, whale watching and price included all drinks, chips, and snacks. Lots of fun. We rode big orange and blue city buses for 15 pesos up and down the main street. We went snorkeling almost daily at Santa Maria Playa, and our favorite beach Chileno Playa. Chileno did have equipment rentals on Sunday, flush toilets, and some drinks and fruit for sale. Beach was lovely with shade huts, super snorkeling close to shore, and whale watching from the shore. The buses say Subur Baja and you just flag them down. Our Spanish is poor, so we just wrote on an index card where we wanted to go and handed it to bus driver.....worked well. (get yourself a pocket Spanish/English travel book, if you don't know the language)We took a side day trip to Todos Santos on 2 buses (as suggested on Trip Advisor), but I would recommend taking $50 tour. Although we loved the arts there, and Hotel California had the best food (we even photographed our plates!), we had a difficult time getting back. It is a good one hour drive and locals ride this bus back and forth and get on and off at small towns along the way. We got bumped several times for local travelers and felt someone uneasy. Weather was sunny and 80, but light sweater nice for evening walks. The only negative comments I have, and I must be honest, is the locals try to sell you jewelry and time shares at every corner. Just shake your head "no" and they will leave you alone. There were wonderful clean places 90% of the time, but here and there was horrible, empty storefronts and lots littered with old, debris.....Cabo officials need to address this. All in all, you can have an inexpensive trip or stay on Corridor and spend a bundle. We hope this review helps others, Trip Advisor has helped so much our last 3 or 4 trips!

My family went to Cabo San Lucas for Spring Break 2005. We wanted somewhere out of the way and not in town. We do not party. My husband is from Mexico so it made everything much easier for us as a family.( he speaks spanish) The hotel was nice for what you pay. We had a 3rd floor room, with one bedroom and twin bed in the living room, a small kitchen and bath. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Someone here mentioned fleas in the rooms. We didn't have that problem. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the room. The pool was nice and clean. I would stay here again. The only downside to this property is that it is situated in a location that is next to some other apartments and its a little run down. The photos don't show the other apartment buildings, but they are all right next door and its junky.

Great place - fantastic price, suites offer two queen size beds, full living room, full kitchen, cooking utensils and cookware, clean, great ppol, continental breakafst, secure front entry, great price. This town has hotels ranging $1400 to $4500 per night -two room suites here go for $77. How can you go wrong. Close to town and beach - trust me. Save money and bad locations. I could not believe it. dont believe any of the negative feedback.´ Great restaurants also: Mariscos Mazatlan ' free parkian , great prices for great seafood. and also Michaocan Carnitos north of town for Pork BBQ.

we just returned from villa la paloma and would not hesitate to return. the front desk staff, especially marina santos went out of her way to make us feel comfortable as her english was a lot better than my spanglish. she confirmed our fishing and snorkling tour as well as perfect instructions to get the shuttles and what to pay. although the bar area was closed we brought our own from a nearby store less than 100 yards away. the rooms were cleaned daily and the pool was the perfect temp and cleaned daily.
