For those who want to stay right in the middle of everything and have cozy, clean accomodations then the Siesta Suites is for you. Now that I have been to Cabo, I noticed that many of the resorts are very much out of the way, meaning you'd probably have to take a shuttle or taxi to and from town (where everything happens!), such a waste of time! The Siesta Suites is about 2 blocks from the Marina, 2 blocks from Sammy Hagar's Cantina "Cabo Wabo" and nestled amongst countless restaurants and shops....it's just too convenient!

Upon our arrival we were pleasantly greeted, check in was very quick and efficient, and before we knew it we were changed & sitting out next to the pool by the bar/cantina. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when it came to booking different tours. This property is not a resort, and thank goodness for that. It has all the charm that you would expect for a Mexican Inn. Our room had a separate bedroom, a small eating area with kitchenette ( sink, full fridge and freezer, microwave, cutlery and minimal dishes...of which we hardly used), and a table to eat at. For us the place was perfect, we slept, got showered and dressed and were gone the whole day, only to come back again to start the same routine again.

This property has a an Italian Restaurant on site called "Salvatore's" that cannot be overlooked. There is a reason why the place is packed every night and the only way to get a table is to reserve in advance. Their specialty is Lasagna and I challenge anyone to say that they had better. The food is exceptional and the portions are massive and again, the staff, super friendly.

I haven't been home a week and already I miss the place! We were made to feel right at home, yes, almost like family. Definitely, definitely we will be back next year!

Hi,

we stayed at the siesta Suites for two days in january 2008. it was a marvelous stay. first thing i've got to say is that the staff, especially juan the manager are ABSOLUTELY HELPFUL!!! they are very nice people and will do their best to help you in any way.

My girlfriend got sick during our stay, and Juan actually called a doctor out to come and check on my girl while she was in bed. He even talked to the doctor to bring the price down because we were on a budget which was the reason for our stay there. It's a luxuriously little hotel, very cozy!!

The room is very clean, and very nicely decorated. price was very fair at 72 a night for 2 people which is very reasonable in CAbo.
Even after we left the hotel, we called juan for some info and he gladly helped us.

Hi juan if you are reading this!! I'm sure you remember us!! Alice says hi too :)

Small place but very quaint. The pool is very small, it is actually a wading pool (not heated). And there is a restaurant that sets up for dinner around 5pm so it is not a place to chill out by pool. however the italian restaurant is very good and with large portions of food. the employees are very helpful and friendly. i noticed that there were a lot of return customers. this is a great place for those that don´t want to spend a lot of money and wants a friendly community. i would come back here in the future.

My wife and I just returned from our second trip to Cabo and we stayed at the Siesta Suites again because we simply love the location, value and the extremely helpful and courteous staff.

The hotel is located within short walking distance to many great restaurants, including Mexican, Seafood, Italian, and even a couple American burger restaurants. Not to mention there are plenty of smaller cheap bars around and of course, all the popular big nightclubs are just a few blocks away. There's even a 24 hour taco place nearby for getting a bite to eat after the clubs and bars close down. Salvatores, the restaurant downstairs in the courtyard, is an Italian place which we ate at one night. It was excellent and seems to be packed every night.

Getting to the beach is easy but requires about a 15 minute walk through the marina and past the mall, which can take a while because of all the tourists and street merchants, but there is lots to see including more restaurants, shops, and bars. There is even a big supermarket within about 5 blocks, if you don't want to eat out for every single meal.
Basically, everything is so close by, we never even used a taxi except for the airport.
The room was very spacious and simple but has just about everything you will need, including a full sized refrigerator, microwave, plates, silverware, and glasses. It was very clean and maid service came every day with fresh towels and made up the room for us.
There's a cable TV with a lot of American channels.
The staff was wonderful and helpful with everything we needed, wether it was directions, restaurant advice, or laundry.

Nothing is perfect of course, but perhaps the only drawbacks of this hotel is the four floors and lack of an elevator, but if you tip the kid at the front desk a couple bucks, he will gladly carry every last piece of luggage to your door. The water heaters are also small and that results in fast showers.
There is a fair amount of noise in the evening from the restaurant in the courtyard but it was always closed by the time we were ready go to sleep. There is a big church next door and on Sunday mornings there is a lot of music and choir singing early in the morning that may disturb light sleepers.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning to be out on the town, at the beach, walking around, exploring, shopping, partying, drinking, etc. Spending most of your time outside of the hotel!
If you want to be waited on hand and foot and desire room service, getting your butt kissed, and every amenity at your finger tips, stay at a resort or take a cruise. If you are one of those who want to get out and experience Cabo, and just want a nice, reasonably priced, clean place to sleep and relax at the end of the day, Siesta Suites is perfect for you.

My husband and I recently returned from our vacation in the Cabo San Lucas area and we had a fabulous time! The beginning of our trip was spent in San Jose at the Royal Solaris, which we do not recommend! We also wanted to spend a couple of days in the heart of Cabo, so we took a cab over and stayed at the Siesta Suites Hotel. An absolutely adorable little place and extremely friendly staff. We arrived a bit early for check-in, but they quickly got us in our room. The room is very basic and what you would expect for the price, but our plan was only to sleep and shower at the hotel. After checking-in and dropping off our luggage, we hit the streets. The Siesta Suites is centrally located and excellent for walking to the marina and mall. On your way you can check out all the local shops and sight see! At the marina we were able to catch a water taxi over to the beach area and continue with enjoying our day. We later went back to the Siesta Suites and got ready for dinner and the front desk called us a cab to our destination. The next day it was time to check out of the hotel, but our visit to Cabo wasn't complete. The front desk politely held our bags for us so we could again get out and enjoy our day. Upon return to the hotel, we planned on catching a cab back to our "resort" in San Jose, but sat down for a drink in the family owned hotel bar/restaurant where we were greeted by the extremely friendly staff. Needless to say, our "one drink before leaving" turned into many hours, many cocktails, a fabulous dinner and continued friendly interaction with the staff and other patrons. If your plan includes sight seeing and adventure without everything that comes with resorts, then the Siesta Suites Hotel is exactly what you need! And, don't forget to have dinner, or at least a margarita at Salvatories Restaurant on site at the hotel!
