My boyfriend, girlfriends and I just got back from Cabo tuesday night. After booking the hotel, I decided to check the reviews just to get a glimpse of what was in store. So here I am reading about how rude the staff is, how expensive the drinks and the food are, how the hotel is not as nice and how loud the music is, etc. and I became somewhat worried since it was too late to cancel the reservation. I figured since it was Memorial Day weekend, it was probably going to be extra noisy and the staff would not be as pleasant since there would probably be a great number of people there. Well, let me tell you that NOTHING of what I read under the TERRIBLE reviews was true! This hotel has to be one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to and I loooove to travel!!! The staff was super professional and friendly. We were greeted with champagne and received a free upgrade to an ocean view room. We were allowed to check in before the scheduled 3pm check-in time. The room was impeccable as was the entire hotel. I swear you could eat off the floor... that is how clean it was. Every morning their staff was busy making sure every corner was clean and that the rooms were well maintained. The one day housekeeping did not finish making our room, we notified the front desk and five minutes later, the housekeeping supervisor knocked on our door and did the room herself and the next day they left a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room due to the inconvenience they had caused us, which really was not much since we only needed some towels... but nonetheless, their gesture was very much appreciated. As far as the drinks are concerned, they were not expensive at all. Maybe I am used to paying more here in New York, but I don't think $7 for a drink is expensive at all; and for those that said the drinks were weak, all you had to do was ask for more liquor and you got yourself one heck of a strong drink. The food was awesome and reasonably priced considering we are at a resort. The waiters (Alejandro, Fermin, Miguel to name a few)and their supervisors, Arturo and Antonio Aguilar, were outstanding!!! They have to be some of the friendliest, down to earth people I have met in a long time. They were very attentive and always made sure our needs were met. By the pool, the one lady you want to meet is Julia. She takes care of the bed reservations by the pool. She is awesome!!! Very friendly, professional, and extremely cordial. The beds were $50 dollars if you wanted to reserve them for the whole day, but if you got up early enough, you could get one free of charge. The music at Nikki Beach was kind of monotonous since they only played house music, but after a while it was tolerable. At the club Passion, I am not sure who said the music was loud, cause it wasn't. Once you closed the balcony door, you couldn't hear the music. My girlfriends' room was right above the club and they said they couldn't hear the music once their door was closed. It was loud enough to hear it from outside, but not an annoying loud. I was expecting loudness like at a regular club.
I could really go on and on about this hotel. I have nothing but wonderful memories from everyone employed there and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get the most out of their money. I had the best time ever and cannot wait to go back!!!!!

Very nice Hotel and surroundings, however, forget about trying to sleep Friday and Saturday Nights. The party and music goes on until 4:00AM. This hotel is NOT for family with children.

It was a girlfriend getaway. I was skeptical about staying as I wanted a really nice quiet place, but my friends wanted a scene. I was nervous after reading about the blaring music, etc...The music was very south beach...not really my choice but it was fine. At night the music did not keep me awake, I even brought earplugs but never needed them. The pool is defintiely a scene and a bit scandelous. The daybeds by the beach were very nice. If you want to party in the sun this is for you...if you are looking for a romantic getaway or have kids, probably not. The staff was excellent. The hotel is not a four seasons but is nice - heck its Cabo! I was impressed by how clean everything was at the hotel! And I am picky. You can walk to everything from this location.
Tip: I did not charge anything to the room or run up any tabs at the bar to avoid overcharging problems. Not sure about the final bill yet...
We had a great time!

I read the reviews before going to the ME Cabo but thought that maybe there were just a few people over-reacting to a bad expereince. However, the were all correct with regard to the music at the pool and the club. Basically this hotel caters to the young single crowd looking to "Party". The music by the pool was tolerable during the week but by Thursday that changed and the pool was overcrowded and the music was unappealing and repetitive. The hotel is over priced - $5.00 for a can of soda at the pool. Everything seems to be expensive and they are more then happy to charge to your room and they don't give you a receipt. The club is also loud but by the w/e we moved to the other side of the hotel (airconditioning didn't work) and didn't really hear it. Each time we walked by it seemed empty though. Watch out for time share sales at the hotel! They are building one right next door and the hotel tries very hard to push you over there offering free drinks, spas, breakfast and won't take no for an answer. It was very rude and annoying. The were on us as soon as we arrived and before we even got to our room. What a way to begin. The hotel is very clean and pretty and the staff seemed helpful and nice but we didn't complain too much. The food at the restaurant by the pool was good. Other notes, there do seem to be "outsiders" at the pool and the weekend seems worse then earlier so book a few days mid week and it will be a better experience. At the pool they hired girls to dance in sparkling bikini's on top of tables - not the kind of thing I wanted for entertainment. Even the guys were making fun of them. They also do a lot of promoting for the club which seems to be the big draw. There were people dressed up at the front door wearing stilts handing out brochures one night. Could be a very nice hotel if they changed the music and closed the club. Was not what we were looking for. Good for the young party crowd who have money to burn, not for anyone else. Good luck. I wouldn't go back to that hotel with so many other places (even nicer) to choose from right nearby.

  • Liked — The hotel is very clean and has a great view
  • Disliked — The music at the pool, the music from the club, the crowded pool on weekends.

We stayed from May 5th - May10

Unbelieveable good time. Paula and Julia were amazing hosts. Best cabana I've ever seen...

Would def recomend staying on the level in the most georgeous suite I've ever seen. Truly.

Staff couldn't have been more over the top helpful and fun. The crowd was young, talented, neavu rich types, in great shape, hottest boddies in Cabo.

I will retrun!
