My boyfriend, girlfriends and I just got back from Cabo tuesday night. After booking the hotel, I decided to check the reviews just to get a glimpse of what was in store. So here I am reading about how rude the staff is, how expensive the drinks and the food are, how the hotel is not as nice and how loud the music is, etc. and I became somewhat worried since it was too late to cancel the reservation. I figured since it was Memorial Day weekend, it was probably going to be extra noisy and the staff would not be as pleasant since there would probably be a great number of people there. Well, let me tell you that NOTHING of what I read under the TERRIBLE reviews was true! This hotel has to be one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to and I loooove to travel!!! The staff was super professional and friendly. We were greeted with champagne and received a free upgrade to an ocean view room. We were allowed to check in before the scheduled 3pm check-in time. The room was impeccable as was the entire hotel. I swear you could eat off the floor... that is how clean it was. Every morning their staff was busy making sure every corner was clean and that the rooms were well maintained. The one day housekeeping did not finish making our room, we notified the front desk and five minutes later, the housekeeping supervisor knocked on our door and did the room herself and the next day they left a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room due to the inconvenience they had caused us, which really was not much since we only needed some towels... but nonetheless, their gesture was very much appreciated. As far as the drinks are concerned, they were not expensive at all. Maybe I am used to paying more here in New York, but I don't think $7 for a drink is expensive at all; and for those that said the drinks were weak, all you had to do was ask for more liquor and you got yourself one heck of a strong drink. The food was awesome and reasonably priced considering we are at a resort. The waiters (Alejandro, Fermin, Miguel to name a few)and their supervisors, Arturo and Antonio Aguilar, were outstanding!!! They have to be some of the friendliest, down to earth people I have met in a long time. They were very attentive and always made sure our needs were met. By the pool, the one lady you want to meet is Julia. She takes care of the bed reservations by the pool. She is awesome!!! Very friendly, professional, and extremely cordial. The beds were $50 dollars if you wanted to reserve them for the whole day, but if you got up early enough, you could get one free of charge. The music at Nikki Beach was kind of monotonous since they only played house music, but after a while it was tolerable. At the club Passion, I am not sure who said the music was loud, cause it wasn't. Once you closed the balcony door, you couldn't hear the music. My girlfriends' room was right above the club and they said they couldn't hear the music once their door was closed. It was loud enough to hear it from outside, but not an annoying loud. I was expecting loudness like at a regular club.
I could really go on and on about this hotel. I have nothing but wonderful memories from everyone employed there and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get the most out of their money. I had the best time ever and cannot wait to go back!!!!!
