We went to Tesoro for our honeymoon. The airport is what everyone says it is, just don't listen to anybody, put on your blinders and get outside. We didn't have a shuttle reserved, but we were able to get one for about $17 a person. Check-in was no problem at the hotel. I think this all depends on what time you get there, because I saw some pretty long lines later in the week. Our room was alright. It was a Jr suite, but not the one with the new furniture. They do have them availiable, we saw one. The bed are all hard. They have no box spring, it's a mattress on a concrete slab. It's my understanding however that this is just how it is. Let me get through the bad stuff so I can get to the good! The front desk is a waste of time. Only once the entire time we were there was our mini fridge filled. Between my husband and I we complained by phone and person about 6 times. Finally when he went down and got "loud" they stocked it, but that was the only time. This didn't seem to be a widespread problem, everyone else we talked to had no trouble. Our entire floor lost water. This wouldn't had bothered me accept that I was trying to get ready for dinner and had just left the pool. Most of the hotel seems to loose power in the afternoon each day. It has something to do with the construction. We were in the pool everytime so the only inconvinent part to us was no blender or music. Now that I've done my coplaining, let's talk good. This hotel is very fun! The pool was such a great time that we never saw the beach! All you can drink, entertainment, and staying cool. The entertainment staff is hilarious. It's like a two man physical comedy show. When the bar is really busy order 2 at a time. The bartenders work their butts off! The food was pretty good! The Mexican buffet is really good. The other times it did the job. It is closed however between meals, and during this time you can either get room service, or you can visit what we affectionatly started calling the drunk tank. The VIP lounge. A completely glass surrounded room with very stale food, When it's 4:00 am I guess you don't care. My husband would barely touch it though and he'll eat anything. There is a trick that I'd like to share. Take your coffee pot down to said trunk tank and fill with beer from the keg! Our coffee pot didn't work anyway, and this saved us many trips! The Agave Azul restraunt is excellent! The service is wonderful. The food is to die for. Try the stuffed mushrooms! One more note on the food. If you are all inclusive, order room service once a day. It will cost you $3 a person, but if you order something like the club sandwich that will keep in the fridge, you'll have something for those 4:00 AM snack attacks. The lobby bar was a great hang out. Guadalupe was a great bartender and host. He provided us with a lot of helpful info and was always happy to serve us. The town is a trip. I found it better to know what i wanted to buy before I got out there with the vultures. By the end of the trip you'll have heard "Hey buddy this is the place, I got it here" so mant times that it will be embedded in your brain. My husband caught on that if ask for things you know they don't have it shuts them up. His favorite was wooden beaver. I do have to give a shout out to Physco Tattoo! I had a bad experience at a certain other tattoo parlor, and the guys down at Phsyco fixed me right up! We met some great people at this resort. Definately a party place to be. I won't get into it all but these people made our trip fun and interesting Thanks to Linda, Rob, Eric, Linda, Irish Mike, & Irish Steve! Trust me this place is great place to make friends! All in all the vacation was a blast. We let the good outweigh the bad and had a great time. I would suggest this to snyone who likes to party, and not to anyone who is to fussy. Remember.. Wht happens down in Mexico, Stays in Mexico!
