I stayed at the Plaza Las Glorias as my senior spring break with a bunch of sorority sisters, my boyfriend, and my sorority sister's boyfriend. We had a huge suite that was perfect--we slept 8 people no problem and the two couples had their own rooms. The rooms were nice with a kitchenette to keep cold beer and water and also a table. The best feature was the balcony overlooking the beautiful bay that stretched from the living room all the way to the other end of the master bedroom. It was unbelievable waking up with the sun shining in on the water and the cool bay breeze coming through the balcony door.
The bathroom was my only complaint about the room--every time you turned the shower on, the floor vent would leak and by the time 4 people were done, the bathroom was a slip 'n slide. But, we never asked to get it fixed, so not really the hotel's fault if they didn't know.
The beds are hard like everyone says, but actually the cushions on the lounge chairs are really nice--so sleep on those. We also had a private hot tub on our balcony--perfect for an end of the day soak. The best part about the Plaza was its central location...you could easily get to anywhere by foot and were surrounded by some of the best clubs and restaurants. Eating on the beach was actually some of the best food that I had...find a sexy beach waiter named Gabriel--he gave me free drinks and free shots all week and invited me to party with the locals.
Also, make friends with the people who work at the clubs--I drank for free all week just by being nice and friendly to them, trying to speak in spanish, and flirting a little bit. As far as spring break goes, Cabo is the perfect location because there is a party going on if you want to find it, but on the nights when you don't, the Plaza is a great place to just relax, drink some tequila, and hang out with friends.
I've been a ton of "spring break" places and Cabo was the best--no one was whistling at me and calling me "baby" all week like at the other locations. One word of advice about Cabo, however. Bring peptol bismol or some sort of medication because I was very careful about what I ate and I was really sick the entire time. Of course, the combination of sun and lots of alcohol probably didn't help, but there was definitely some bacteria in the produce. Stick to cooked foods and packaged foods and you'll be fine. Make sure that you bargain with the people on the beach or they will hose you for "mexican" goods. Check out all the goods before you buy and check out which women are doing the best braids. For a really cool sidetrip, take a water taxi to Lover's beach...make sure you go to the bathroom before you leave for there, though. It's the most natural, romantic spot I have ever been to, with the Pacific Ocean waves crashing along one side and the bay on the other where you can swim. Bring a cooler there because there is absolutely nothing other than you, the sand, and a few other tourists.
Much less popular beach, but so worth the day trip.

Just returned from a 10 day stay at the Plaza "not" so Glorias. I was not sure what to expect after reading 1 years worth of reviews. I came to the conclusion there is a little truth in some of the good reviews and alot of truth in the bad reviews. First of all, it is close to everything so walking is not a big deal. But it fronts a noisy boulevard where cars and motorcycles rev up and down the street all day and night until 3:00 in the morning. I saw two accidents in a three day period where two tourist were hurt by drivers who think they get points if they hit somebody. Secondly, there are many hookers in the parking lot and adjacent areas who are always hitting on you (even though my girlfriend and I were walking hand and hand) then you have the guy asking if you want to buy some drugs. For the whole 10 days I thought I was back in Vegas minus the strip. the beds were hard as rocks and the t.v sets were unable to de-program from the sap mode so if you don't like to watch t.v. with spanish subtitles, you will dislike this place.
The Plaza is better than sleeping on the street but not by much. The staff are great if you have money in hand for a tip but if not, your on your own. I won't say I will never stay at the plaza again because it is better than sleeping in a car but not by much. They did have a shuttle to the beach but the hours were too short and we found that when the driver said be here at such and such a time, that only applied to tourists not the mexican nationals as it is different for fellow counrty men. We were left starnded for 2 hours because the driver "forgot" to pick my wife and I up at the scheduled time. Lucky for us a Gentleman from Mexico city called the Hotel and told them of a couple of gringos that were not picked up. When the driver arrived he sheepishly smiled and told us "Cabo time is different than U.S. time".
A guess it is a good thing we had no plans. Oh well, We are just touristas. Good luck

The hotel was great, very comfortable...it is so close to the party scene where you can go and party as late as you want, but still be able to come back to your room and get sleep in peace. The movie "The Quest" was filmed there that will be in theaters in March of this year. The view is as gorgeous as you are gonna see in Mexico and the rooms are as comforting. You definitely need to stay there at least once before you can judge it or believe others that judge it.

We spent 2 weeks at PLG and enjoyed every moment of our days. Nights were very quiet. Everyone will have a few problems but if you take them with a grain of salt you can have a few laughs later. We found our Studio to be very clean, the staff was great and we had no surprise charges on checkout. Our stove did not work but I didn't go to Cabo to cook anyway. The restaurant was great only people are not allowed up to the 2nd floor without a room key in the evenings. Our room was always clean and we will go back.

If you want to be in town without having to take a cab, bus, etc., this is a good place to stay. If you're looking for a beautiful room with a view, look elsewhere. Hotel pool, restaurant, bars average.
