Hello,
I am writting to give my honest opinion on this hotel, as well as some other recommendations of what to do and see. We got a GREAT deal through skyauction. We paid for 7 nights, 390.00. This was a wonderful deal and seemed to be less then the maintenence fee if you were to own a timeshare there. So for $ 55.71 a night were stayed at a five star place. the room was great with a small kitchen and a balcony. Across from the front of the hotel was a little market and we stocked up on cereal, milk and sodas for the week. The beds are VERY hard, but we asked for padding and they took care of it after the second request. The room and bathroom were both clean with towels, shampoo and a blo dryer. ( There was no hair conditioner ). The first 2 rooms they showed us smelled of smoke, so they were nice about changing us rooms until we found one that was free from the smell.
The lunch in resturant by the pool was not good. the entertainment at night was of junior high school quality, so we went into town which is a nice walk away and ate some great meals outside of the hotel. Another great place to eat was at Mangos on the beach and the Pueblo Bonito Rose. We did see a timeshare presention and got a lot of free stuff:
$100.00 in free meals, a $ 50.00 spa certificate, $160.00 in cash and a discount on a Wonderful snorkle trip on the Pez Gato to the Santa Maria bay where we saw hundreds of fish( this was the best snorkle trip yet, and i have been on about 8 over the years. Also the snacks for lunch was great and the crew and music was good. If you take this trip, you will need to get to the main dock # 4. A water taxi is the cheepest way to go. it was half the price as a regular taxi. If I were to go back to cabo, I would rather stay at the Pueblo Bonito Rose. but for the price, it was terrific. You can always bargin for prices when buying things in town. The spa at both hotels have gotten really expensive. In town there was a place charging only 25.00 per hor for a massage, instead of the 80.00 for 50 min. at the hotel. Also the La Dolce was good for pizza and salad. Cabo is great! My husband and I had a great time, other then the timeshare people trying so hard to get you to go and see presentations. If you do want to buy, although I cant see why you would with all the good deals out there. At least buy a re sale. You can get in much much cheeper from lots of people who are dying to get out of their contract!! Enjoy!!!!!!!
