“Good times! Great service!”

We stayed at Villa del Palmar from August 3-10, 2013. Hadn't stayed there in quite a while and were a little nervous. We got in very late - midnight - and ended up with a great Jr. Suite on the 6th floor, main building, with a view comparable to the Live Beach Cam! Very clean, updated furniture, bed, tv, etc. They cleaned the room every day. We were never hassled about a timeshare, always found a lounge chair at the beach and basically had a blast. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and bring our kids next time. Nice job!

Room Tip: The main building has the best view. I would recommend upper floors. I put in a request for that and...

One of the major pools was undergoing massiva repairs, so you could see yellow work tape and workers pouring cement . What en eyesore. Could have waited a couple of weeks , no?
The staff was helpful and reliable. The check-in system is a bit haphazard and people tend to accumulate at the entrance.

Room Tip: The rooms in the main building are noisy, but some other rooms are soooo far down the secondary floo...

Not one to complain. We bought our timeshare 5 years ago. We stated at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset (excellent). We went on a timeshare presentation at the Villa Del Arco. We have not been able to get a reservation at the Villa Del Arco since. We were able to get a reservation at the Villa Del Palmar. When we arrived on August 4th, 2013, there was no bell boy to assist with our bags. We arrived approximately 4:30p. We had to carry our bags to our room. the room smelled of mildew. It was clean otherwise. During our state, we were questioned whenever we left the property. We were asked to attend a sales presentation. We complained to our presenter about not being abled to get into the Villa Del Arco, we were told that we bought into the Villa group and not a particular timeshare. That is not what we were sold. We complained about the customer service. We were told that he (presenter) would assist us until we would not switch our timeshare from weeks to points. We were then told there was nothing he could do. The pools was crowded. The adult pool was filled with children. Children playing in the hot tub. Our room was not cleaned on most days until 5p. on 5 of the 7 days. We had to call the front desk on several occasions. The gentleman at front desk called on several occasions and to no avail the room was still not cleaned until late. We called for a menu. It 1 1/2 hours to get it. The customer service sucked. We took another timeshare presentation and bought. We are glad to be rid of the Villa Group. Don't buy from them.

My wife made arrangements for our family of six to stay at this resort. Upon arriving, we had to haggle for 3 hours to get a room accommodation that would work for two couples and two teenager girls! Started off in a bad way and got worse!!! After surviving a tropical storm the road to the hotel was blocked and we walked thru a river to get to the hotel and of course the power was off, the pool was flooded, the elevators non op. and all TV and various other things not working. The hotel staff were NOT helpful at all. In fact, the next day we were informed that our car that we had driven for three days was someone else's at the hotel!! The bell staff valet confused the two Jeeps from Dollar Rental car and the other party that was driving our car was freaking out because he took minimum insurance coverage.
Time share typical sales [--] should be avoided!!! The check out invoice should be inspected closely! They add automatic gratuity that you must fill out paperwork to have removed. Please take the time to do this! It is a ripoff!! Will not stay again at this resort and definitely not in August!!!

We saw the offer on line and we thought ' too good to be true' And it was true, we booked on line and at our arrival the taxi driver was very kind we went to the hotel and Mary the front desk lady was very helpful and explained step by step every question always with a smile on her face. We would like to thank Alondra the waitress on the beach restaurant "Bella California". Awesome service includind the manager Chipuli. He always was very kind. Also Giovany very cool guy and all the guys at the beach service make us feel V.I.P. Regarding time share presentation: We had Ricky Leon just doing his job like us and every body else. And guess what we are proud members of Villa Group Resorts. See you next year.!!!

Room Tip: I don't care about the room its only to sleep and shower. We spent our vacation on the beach and...

We stayed during the last week of August 2013, which is the beginning of their off-peak season. We got all inclusive and the food Buffett and show was great, drinks were good. Beach access is perfect. The staff was very nice. Since it was their slow time, we got a lot of attention

My wife and I just got back from staying at the Villa Del Palmar. We were there from 8/26 to 8/30. We git a great deal, flight, Hotel, All-Inclusive for a total of $1082. I see in many postings that people where upset because it was so packed at the resort. The days we were there were great. Not many people at all, the pools were not crowded or the restaurants. We had the All-Inclusive which I would recommend because the food and drinks were a little pricey for Mexico. We ate like Kings everyday. The food was very food but not great. The buffet breakfast was very good, the sport bar was good as well. We didn't eat at the Bella restaurant at all, but every night we had the buffet that also included a show. We had the pizza twice during our trip and I would recommend it. The drinks were great, they were not watered down at all, and the service was very good. Nice staff though out the whole resort. The room was very clean and the beds where nice and comfortable. The only issue was the tropical storm on Wed. night, but they had no control over that. The beach was right in front of the hotel and was fun. I was only charged for the hour of internet that I used ( $10 an hour, not cheap) but no invalid charges. One of the pools were closed for construction which only left 1 pool open but it was not to crowded ( guess because the resort wasn't full) but other then that no complaints. For the price we got I have nothing to complain about. Overall good experience. We would stay there again during their down time.
