Just returned from staying at the Blanco & had a great time. I did a timeshare exchange for a Monday to Monday check in. We actually arrived on a Sunday, booking an extra nights stay. I have to say that check in was a breeze. The front desk (Ray) was very helpful. He put us in a unit where we didn't have to move & had the entire unit for our 8-night stay. We had a one bedroom. It had 2 queen beds, which were very comfortable. It was myself & my girlfriend. We got away without the husbands. The resort was very clean and safe. The entire staff was always accomodating. I can't complain about anyone there. They were all friendly and helpful. We ate lunch a few days at the resort (prices above average) but good. We stayed for dinner one night (Lobster & Shrimp night). Food was great! We also had 1 breakfast there & ate the breakfast buffet at the sister resort Rose. (great for the money about $16 USD). The only complaint I have is no TV's in the bedrooms but after a long day who needs TV anyways?

We walked into town most nights only about 6 blocks. The best way to do it is to go through the gates & use the entrance way to the hotel next door, Melia. They have a paved sidewalk--don't use the unpaved "alley-street" that they'll give you directions for. If you do plan to walk, flip flops only, if you wear heals your feet will kill you. A taxi ride is only $6.

The vendors are a little annoying if you go to the beach but we loved the quietness of the pool. We sat on the steps & read books while lounging in the pool all day long & sipping our Miami Vice (frozen Pina Colidas topped with Strawberry Daiquiris). I would return here in a minute the location was great. Their sister resort (Rose - next door) is a little bigger & has a cafe, boutique. We also took the shuttle to their other resort on the Pacific side (Sunset Beach & Spa). We had a massage & used their spa -- Highly recommended. Although you can't swim on the beach over there you have use of their pools. We sat around the pool for awhile & than enjoyed a martini at the martini bar overlooking the pacific before returning back to Blanco. What a great day!

Like I said I'd go back here in a minute. Although I loved the Sunset Beach & Spa resort it seems isolated that I'd much prefer staying at Blanco (or Rose). It's much more convenient to downtown.

If you're looking for good Italian try San Giovanni's (across from Cabo Wabo--back side)..great veal dishes. For seafood, Matazlin --no atmosphere & much more local place, but great seafood. try the seafood platter for 2. You can't beat it. We also ate pizza at La Trattoria one night, which was quite enjoyable.

One other thing worth noting, I really miss my view. We were on the 5th floor & every night and every morning we sat on the balcony.. There were always ships, boats & a few days cruise ships were in & docked where you could see them. It was so beautiful just to sit & have a cup of coffee in the morning. The Flamingos could get a bit annoying (they are loud).

Just returned from a quick weekend trip to the Blanco. We were a group of eleven in three rooms and found it to be very clean and relaxing. The suites were well kept and it was wonderful to have a fridge to stash our groceries in; it saved us quite a bit to take breakfast and lunch in our rooms as food all over Cabo was expensive. The staff was perfectly bilingual (Spanish/English) and friendly. The pool was on the small side but never overly crowded and chairs were always available poolside. The beach was filled with vendors, as noted in other reviews, but at least the hotel has its beach area roped off to keep them at arm's length. Do expect, however, to be constantly interrupted by them if you choose to lay on the beach. The hotel is close to town, but being a group of 11 girls wearing higher heels and sandals, we did often opt for a $6 cab ride, especially after midnight. Wait for happy hour for your alcoholic beverages -- not knowing better we spent $11.50 US for a margarita at the hotel bar.

Just returned from Pueblo Bonito Blanco in Cabo San Lucas. One of the reasons we booked this resort was the reviews written in Trip Advisor by previous visitors. And even though they were happy with the resort and the pictures on the resort web site showed it to be beautiful, I was skeptical. We wanted to have a great 10th anniversary and had spent our honeymoon there in Cabo.
My first thought when I arrived was so far so good. But when we got to our room I was impressed. The web site pictures were accurate. The room was just as the web site showed. Clean, neat and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The entire resort is always kept clean and the staff is always busy. The pool is kept clean and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas around both the pool and on the beach.
The prices in the restaurants are ( in my opinion ) fair. A ham and cheese omelet with toast was $7.00 us. Eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast $7.00 us. For lunch, the price of a hambuger is high, but there are other items that are fairly priced.
In all the resort was well worth the money and I would stay again in a heartbeat.
Take the cab to town ($ 6.00 ). Walking to town (about 10 blocks ) is ok but sidewalks are narrow, uneven or non existent. Costco and the City club are close for grocery shopping if needed. But the resort has a small convienence store.
My wife had a small problem with the sun and needed some medication. We contacted the Concierge and he was more than helpful. He found a 24 hour pharmacy and had the cream delivered.
The marina is a great place to go for dinner, but pricey.
Being used to Cancun and the hotel zone, Cabo is a disappointment. They have grown considerably in the past ten years, but it seems without much of a plan. It is just like any tourist town in Mexico. Same shops, same merchandise. But we just spent more time in the resort and enjoyed it all the more.
As I said prior, My wife and I would return without hesitation. Loved it

My son was married in Cabos at Dreams, but ten of us stayed at Pueblo Bonita Blanco. We were a little hesitant because most of the reviews were great, but others
expressed complaints. I can honestly say there was nothing (and I mean nothing) to complain about. The place was beautiful and clean; everyone from the people who checked us in at the front desk to the waiters were friendly, pleasant and helpful. There was never a problem getting a chair at the pool or at the cabanas. The food was very good and not overly expensive. We arrived on a Tuesday and did not go to the Mexican Fiesta dinner because we were quite tired (especially the kids), but wished that we had. We didn't realize it was only held on Tuesdays. But wehile we were at the other restaurant we could enjoy some of the entertainment. You are only a short walk from restaurants on the beach (The Office and others). You can walk into town, but it is probably a 20 minute walk and since we had young children, we choose to take a cab most evenings. There were always cabs available. You could also use the facilities at the Pueblo Rose and the Pueblo Sunset. The Pueblo Sunset is absolutely beautiful and worth spending the day there. This was my second trip to Cabos. Last year we stayed at The Bungalows (which was a fantastic bed and breakfast resort) and this year we wanted to stay on the beach because we had children with us and were just as pleased. I would highly recommend Pueblo Bonita Blanco. It was a wonderful vacation.

If you're used to luxury at places such as a Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons or the Fairmonts this is not the place for you. It's the first Pueblo Bonito property built in Cabo and it shows. Although staff does a great job with maintenance, it needs remodeling. Let's start with the rooms. I believe we had a basic room because I don't see it as anything else. The lay out was weird and not practical. The bedrooms are right next to the hotel's main walways on every floor. If you don't close the curtains well enough, people can see you in bed as they stroll by. We saw more than we cared for ourselves, I'll let your imagination wander. If you want to watch TV while in bed you can't, televisions aren't provided. The bathrooms are small and dreary, basic stuff provided. The tiny lotion bottle was not replaced during our six day stay. The living room quarters offer a small fridge, sink, stove and microwave as well as plates, containers and silverware which is good. The couch is also a bed and it's the most uncomfortable thing you'll ever try to sit on. You'll wonder what designers were thinking. I don't think they sat in them before making their selections. Television is there in a white wash armoir. Did have HBO and Cinemax which is a plus but only about eight regular channels including what appears to be an Everyone Loves Raymond Network because every time you turn to that channel, Ray Ramano was on. No ESPN, CNN, MTV... the biggies. There was ESPN Deportes which is mostly soccer, all in Spanish. We did hear some of the units in the hotel had SKY TV, or dish programming. Not ours though.

The pool is nice, water is warm and poolside service was outstanding. But the area is small and contrary to other posts, you DO feel cramped and crowded. Staff is very nice about providing ice to anyone with a cooler, so bring one from home if you can. Stop by grocery store and stock up on water, beer, sodas, juices and bring them poolside every day.

The hotel is in a very good location too. Cab into the main tourist area will cost you six dollars, 60 pesos. But you can walk same distance in about 10 minutes. There's a huge mall nearby something "Paraiso" which has a theater complex and lots of upscale restaurants along the marina. It's very nice, something you'd see in upscale areas in the States. Cabo is very expensive, it's almost on par with Maui and as costly as Cancun. If you have have a choice, stay at the Pueblo Bonito Rose next door or at the newer P.B. facilities such as the Sunset or Pacifica. The Melia next to the P.B. Blanco is also much nicer.

Another tip if you're into fishing, don't buy your spots with concierge at hotel. The going rate is about $385 dollars. Instead I would suggest getting up early and taking a cab to what's called the Main Marina. Get out of the taxi past the guys who want to help you, just ignore them or say "no gracias." You'll see a table set up wtih people waiting in line. Those are the folks who have paid big money. Ask for one of the captains and negotiate directly with him. You'll save at least $100 dollars or the commission the hotel and concierge would've made.
