Cabo is a special place, and we can't wait to return one day.
The Pueblo Bonito Blanco is a great place to stay, if you want a relaxed atmosphere. Some of the other resorts seem quite stuffy and you'd be worried about the kids splashing someone in the pool. We visited two other properties owned by the Pueblo Bonito group, and yes they were newer, but for our needs felt the Blanco was just right. Our group being myself, partner and 2 stepsons (11 & 13).
We were a bit hesitant about going to Mexico after all the bad things we'd heard, but we felt safe at all times, just need to keep you whits about you.
Food at the Blanco was good, resturant/drinks staff very attentive, though they struggled with our Kiwi accents at times! Front desk staff helpful, doormen attentive, room service did not come to mid afternoon and could have been better but o.k.
The Resort in general is extremely clean and well looked after, gardens well cared for, lovely pool with plenty of pool loungers ., We also often lay on the beach loungers, which is a bit cooler as you get the sea breeze - just have to keep up the 'No thankyou's" to all the hawkers on the beach.
We did the gentle walk down the beach and dinned at Mango's (value for money Mexican) and the Office (lovely but overpriced seafood).
The Blanco is a great location, the beach definately swimmable, which we did everyday. The boys preferred playing in the waves to swimming in the pool.
Cab ride to town/marina is US $6-10 dollars.
Our room was fine, clean and in good condition. We had a luxury room which has a bedroom and sofa bed in the lounge. Sofa bed was extremely hard, but we did sleep well. Bathroom a bit small but all we really needed.
A must do in Cabo is Marlin Fishing - a day we will remember forever. Amazing! Recomend you go with 'Pieces Sportsfishing' rather than some of the mad Mexican's out on the sea.
Yes we will return to Cabo one day, and we will most likely stay at the Blanco.
