Right when you walk in, fresh scents burst into the air from their special room odorizer. Friendly check in and concierge staff aid your sense of belonging and affirm your resort selection. Humongous and meticulously landscaped courtyard and pool area confirm that you are in a luxury Mexican resort.
The poolside service is continual from any location, even at the beach. They made food to our order and the servers "run" all day long to meet your needs. Gorgeous view of El Arco and Lover's Beach from the resort that is in a terrific central location. Rose' is located by the marina, the hot spot of the cove, downtown shopping and restaurants, yet it seems that you are miles away.
The only annoyance to me was the continual onslaught of beachcombing sales people that are constantly desiring to sell local creations. The resort does have roping and staff present to keep the sales people from encroching your space, yet you cannot get away from their constant cry for you to look and buy.
Good food in the main eatery and terrific food and service in the upstairs restaurant. sizeable rooms with colorful decor; see some of our candid photos.
There is a free shuttle to the Sunset Beach resort owned by Pueblo Bonito. I highly recommend 2-3 days out of your week to spent over at this resort. The Sunset Beach is one of the most beautiful, unique hotels I have ever seen in many years of travel. It is fabulous and a free ride on a Mercedes-built, air-conditioned bus of chartered size.
Another must see is Lover's beach. This is the least expensive and most memorable part of a fantastic trip. Unfortunately, we waited until the last day to go. This was a mistake. It is only $6 per person to ride a water taxi over to the island and you can stay until 4:30 pm (last pickup) to go back to resort. Lover's Beach @ Land's End is completely natural with no tourist traps at all. Be sure to take some food, a camera, and a sense of adventure. You can see experience both the sea and the ocean within a few steps of another. Wonderful rocks, waves, sand create a photographic and relaxing atmosphere.
The western side of Mexico is totally different than the Eastern (Cancun, Cozumel) side. West is high end, high prices, and well worth every penny. I was told that 58% of all people in the Del Cabo area speak English and their main source of living is tourism, so take your money and get ready to be served up on a silver platter.
