My wife & I just returned from six days at Rose. This was our second stay, the first being in 2001. We have to say that their staff is absolutely first rate. They were always extremely friendly, fast and helpful. Unlike many other resort destinations we have traveled to, the food and drinks at Rose are excellent. However, it is not cheap. It's likely the cost of using quality ingredients, but there didn't seem to be a meal that cost less than $50 for two. Our junior suite was larger than most hotel rooms and featured two comfortable beds, sitting area, balcony and handy kitchenette. The rooms are clean and nicely appointed. The hotel and grounds are immaculately manicured and kept. The pool area is large and beautiful with plenty of activities. Although a bit crowded during our stay, we never had much trouble finding lounge chairs. The pool staff was excellent. We never had to wait long to get our drinks or food order. It's located right on the beach, but the waves are strong and the Pacific waters are a bit cool. It's perfect for beach walks. The hotel is located within walking distance of all Cabos popular restaurants, clubs and shopping. There is a small home accessories store called Chile Y Anis. Lots of cool stuff and is located near the hotel. Keep in mind Cabo has LOTS of timeshares. Rose is no exception. We are owners there and are very satisfied. But, you are bombarded with offers to go to timeshare presentations. It starts the minute you step foot out of baggage claim. Even as a Pueblo Bonito guest you are pressured to attend their presentation. I can't say it's not worth it. Their Sunset Beach property is awesome (so awesome, in fact, we will be staying there for our next visit). We were given $200 off our bill and several discounts. They say it lasts 90 minutes, but be prepared for at least three hours, start to finish. It was a nice tour with only moderate pressure to buy.

We highly recommend this property!!!

I went to Cabo for five days (5/27/06 to 5/31/06) with two girlfriends, so we were three women having fun in Mexico. The hotel was impeccably clean and gorgeous. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved the full kitchen/suite. We always had more than enough towels (three girls, we used tons of towels). The pool was warm, large, and clean. It's big enough to swim laps. The hotel gym rivals real gyms, and we used it every day. The spa is amazing. We all had the best massages of our lives. As for the time share thing, the first time were approached, we politely but firmly said no, and we were not bothered again. We ate breakfast & lunch at the hotel (mostly by the pool), and went out to dinner each night. The food at the hotel was great and was not overpriced, contrary to some of the reviews I've read. I guess it's all relative based on what you are used to paying, but we thought it was perfectly fine considering it was a luxury resort. The beach near the hotel is fenced off so that the vendors can't bug you -- nothing like in Rio de Janiero where they will literally stand there blocking your sun until you buy something. Although we didn't take part in any of the hotel's activities, they seemed to have plenty going on, including water aerobics at the pool, poker/blackjack tournaments, volleyball games, and ping pong matches. The location of the hotel is very convenient - close to the arch (we jet skied out to the arch, awesome!), and to downtown where all the action is. I would definately stay in this hotel again. Perfect vacation for sun, rest, and relaxation!

Two of my friends and I stayed at Pueblo Bonito Rose May 14-21. This was the best hotel ever!!!! This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in!! The hotel is well taken care of. We had a junior suite and it was enough space for the 3 of us. The beds are really comfy. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful! Our favorite bellhop was J. Luis! He's soooo awesome. When I saw pics of the hotel on the website i was sold! Then I saw more pics of the hotel on this site and I was definitely sold. The pics do not do the hotel or Cabo San Lucas justice. It's so beautiful in person. The pool was great!! It's soooo beautiful! The birds on the property are very pretty. Los Arcos that sit in the Sea of Cortez are absolutely breath taking!!! I don't think I have anymore words to describe how beautiul this place is. When I go back I will ONLY stay at Pueblo Bonito Rose!

The water pressure in the shower is a little wacky but we had someone come in and fix our shower and it was better. I have to agree with another review that the temp in the shower does change by itself a lot, i still don't know why. It wasn't that big of a deal just a FYI.

The staff makes the stay there very enjoyable. They almost always open the doors for you, say "hola" to everyone. I speak Spanish and I loved practicing with them. The men just loved hearing an American woman speaking Spanish, it was awesome. My friends and I got a lot of free drinks and tabs paid b/c of me speaking Spanish and we were treated like celebrities. Being an American and going down there DEFINITELY has it's perks!

Restaurants: Billygans & Sandbar, both located on the beach are very good. The drinks aren't too bad either. I'm not a drinker but they do like to go heavy on the alcohol which is a good thing because a lot of places in the US will give u watery drinks. Some places have happy hour all day. At the hotel happy hour is from 3-5 pm. The drinks are 2 for 1.

The night life: AWESOME!!! Our favorite spot was EL SQUID ROE! Squid Roe was the best!!! Our favorite waiters were Benny & Benito, Pablo (substitute pimp or MC) at Squid Roe were awesome!!!! Everyone there was so nice.

Zoo Bar rocks too! Very nice in the inside and more upscale.
Nowhere Bar on the Marina was cool too. This is more of a hang out bar outside.
Giglin Marlin was cool and Cabo Wabo was cool, but we had the most fun at SQUID ROE.

NEGATIVE:
The hotel and many hotels there DO NOT allow overnight guest or visitors! This sucked when we thought we could just have guys come over. The hotel checks everyone in at the front gate after hours and by us being there for 8 days they became familiar with our faces and they quickly learned our room number. It was frustrating but it's a safety issue. After 10 PM no one other than the actual hotel guests are allowed in the rooms. Visitiors have to stay by the pool area or the beach.

Honestly, this is the only negative I have about the hotel. The GOOD DEFINITELY out weighs the BAD!!!

Pueblo Bonito Rose is the best!!! You are not going to want to leave this place!!!

ENJOY!!!!

My bf and I stayed at the Pueblo Bonito Rose last yr in May. This place exceeded our expectations. The service was great (especially the pool service). Every where we went, the staff would say "hola" to us. Everyone was so friendly.

The rooms were nice. There is a mini kitchen with a fridge. We stayed on the first floor and had a view of the pool and giant birdcage. The hotel was also within walking distance to "town". There is a mall there and some local clubs. I would suggest buying snacks at some of the grocery stores there instead of at the deli at the hotel to save money.

The beach was right outside the hotel with a spectacular view of Lovers Beach. The water was rough when we went so we didn't get to enjoy any water activities. There were theme nights as well and it kept us entertained each night. We were also able to go to their sister hotel, the Blanco, next door for dinner. They were having a pinata breaking contest for the kids when we went. On one of the nights there at the Rose, they were playing music and we were able to dance under the stars. We had dinner on the beach on our last night there and it was so romantic.

We would love to go back but the flight is so long from nyc.
