We just returned from a week-long stay at the Pueblo Bonito Rose' - 8/7/04 to 8/14/04 - we absolutely LOVED it! Thanks to Trip Advisor, I researched Cabo and for what our family needed (my husband and I and 4 boys ages 9 to 18), the Rose' was the perfect choice! The pool area is big and beautiful, as well as the grounds -with activities for adults and kids throughout the day, if you choose. The beach was swimmable the whole week and our boys spent most of their time in the warm, dark-turquoise water (not as light as Cancun). We got two rooms, which were very nice and spacious. Thanks to having the kitchenette, we loaded up with breakfast and lunch stuff from Costco (a $20 cab ride, roundtrip) and ate just our dinners out. It's a 15-20 min. walk to town, which was great so we didn't have to take a cab every night. Some nights we'd stroll barefoot down the beach to one of the beachfront bars/restaurants (Mango Deck - 2 for 1 happy hour, and The Office) and enjoy seeing El Arco with the sun setting on it - GORGEOUS! Our favorite restaurants in town were Mi Casa, Panchos and The Trailer Park. All had authentic and delicious Mexican food, great ambiance and strolling Mariachis. The resort is very clean and the employees are very polite and friendly. We were glad we stayed here rather than Pueblo Bonito Blanco, because even though the Blanco has more ocean view rooms, we liked the much larger pool and resort of the Rose'. There aren't many ocean view rooms at the Rose' (just the ones at the end), but most have a view of the pool, which is beautiful. We had requested ocean view, but we found out those are pretty much saved for the timeshare owners and RCI trades. But not a big deal for us, as we spent very little time in our room. It was an awesome vacation - our boys even said this was their best vacation so far! We hope to return to the Rose' someday soon!
