“Lobster Fest!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

Tasty and plentiful lobster for $16.95! Very friendly staff, quick service, and tasty food for a very very affordable price. The place was packed and all the guests seemed to be really enjoying their experience.

“Always a must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

We visit Cabo at least 4 times a year to escape the rain in Seattle and Maro's is always a must, ususally more than one night. It is casual with a local feel and the best lobster and shrimp for the money. If you have room, Maro's wife makes the desert that is a great way to end the meal, chocolate cake or coconut ice cream.
If you are looking for a formal, quiet atmoshphere, this is not for you. If you are looking for fun staff, drinks and good food, give Maro's a try.

“If you're looking to eat bland food while hanging out with drunk Gringos, this is your place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012

Every corner of this Gringo hangout is covered in US college and pro sports flags. While the location is family friendly because it is semi-outdoor and loud, the menu is limited and the food is bland. All prices are in US$, an indication of who the customer base is. Servers and staff are very nice, though. Most patrons are busy downing "Bulldogs," the local drink special; a few of those, and everything will taste great. Overall, this place is ok, but definitely overrated.

“Ok food and ok location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

After reading all these great reviews on tripadvisor we went to Maros:
You'll find a parking garage right around the corner so it's easy to reach. We got seated right away at a table close to the street (regretted this later).
We ordered the Maros platter for two. After about 20 min. waiting time the starter was served but then the downside experience started. There were about 5 kids soliciting all the time. They even went into the restaurant and started soliciting and none of the waiters did something about it. There were also guys selling jewelery, portraits and about 3 Mexican bands trying to get money. I think it's ok to do this on the street but NOT inside a restaurant!
The starter was below average - watery salad with bottled ranch dressing and factory made chips with housemade salsa.
Than after over an hour we were served the entree. We got lobster, shrimp and fish but just got a really small rice side dish. The fish and the Lobster were the highlight but honestly it was not above Red Lobster quality. Then after another hour we got one chocolate cake to share "on the house" even though we were supposed to get two desserts according to the menu. Didn't complain because we just wanted to leave after more than two hours and the soliciting all the time.
Summary: Food OK, Atmosphere bad (soliciting), Price Good (US standard), Service Good (except for the waiting).
