I arrived with a group of 10 for a 7-day vacation. We ate at 12 Tribes 3 of the 7 nights. On the first night the service was a little slow but being used to the hustle and bustle of my daily life I liked the slower pace (after all we were now on Mexico time – relaxed!). I wanted to try something different and cultural so I ordered the black bass off a pre-arranged menu. The meal was delicious but I could not finish it because of all of the spices – a little more than I am used but highly recommended if that's what you like. I had the ribs and the flank steak on other nights and I enjoyed them ALL, including the lunch menu at the swim up bar but, specifically, the calamari was very good as wells as the salads which were refreshing as the weather was very hot. During the course of our stay we pretty much had the same waiters for dinner. Marco was our lead waiter with Elias and Caesar (all of whom I adored) and some others assisting. They were all a delight and I had great appreciation for ALL OF THE STAFF on the premises. The best was our dinner setup on the beach – ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Oh, and I can't forget the breakfast.... great variety, great staff, great food and good times!!!
