Acquaintenances told us about the great meal they had at 12 Tribes in Cabo San Lucas so we decided to try it for our friend's birthday celebration last evening. Our waiter didn't mention any special when he handed us the menus but since we knew about beforehand, we asked him to give us the details and elected not to order off the menu. For the price of $45 USD per person, we got a generous antipasti platter to share between the four of us, our individual choice of penne pasta with pesto, cream or marinara sauce, a platter for each couple with 4 jumbo shrimp, 4 legs of lamb, 4 cuts of chilean salmon, and 4 pieces of duck accompanied by individual servings of grilled vegetables and rice. The first course included a nice glass of white wine from Northern Italy. the second course included a glass of red wine which also was quite lovely. Dessert was tiramisu and an Italian pudding. We were charged extra for coffee to accompany our dessert. The service was good and the overall the meal stands out as one of the better dining experiences Ive had in the many years I've been coming to Cabo.
