The reviews for this restaurant led us on a longer walk than is usual for the area for dinner, and I'm sad to say that for me it wasn't worth the effort. That is not to say that there weren't high points; the lobster special saved this from being a two-star review as the pasta and sauce along with the preparation of the lobster were pretty good. However, after being seated and watching waiters sit around doing nothing it took 15 minutes for anyone to ask if we would like to order any starters or food and the service didn't get any better or faster from then on. Also, even though the special wasn't bad, regular menu items were. The beef carpaccio was nearly floating in oil and had to be left to drip before being eaten, the spinach and cheese ravioli had nearly zero visible cheese stuffing, and the beef ravioli were bland. I'm sorry and I know that many reviewers obviously like this place, but I just don't see it. If you do eat here, i would recommend eating inside as youre protected from the fumes and noise of passing vehicles as well as street vendors and its still very open-air. Maybe next time I'll try the shrimp house across the street since it was packed all evening and is good enough to be used by La Dolce as the landmark to be found in the area.

I am sorry you had to walk wayyyyy out of your way¨Two blocks from the marina¨ are you kidding me! Inconsistant food?! you never ate here before to say that!!! but the Lobster special was preaty good!$&$#%&%// Carpaccio swimming in oil?! Come on!!! I wont go any further, your review makes no sence, but will take it with a grain of salt. Obviasouly your idea of Italian is way diferent than 95% of the reviewers.
Take care and good luck with your choices of restaurants in the fututre.
