“Finally got in to Salvatore's!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

This will be added as another one of our favorite Cabo Italian restaurants (There are many in Cabo). For the last few years we couldn't even find it and when we did it was always packed. This year we finally got in and found it well worth the wait. Good food and not all the usual fare (porkeeta was great). The restaurant is very small, even by Cabo standards, so you will probably have to wait..Do. It's worth it..

“Forgetaboutit”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

We heard so much about this restaurant with rave reviews that we canceled other reservations so we could eat at this establishment. This place is a joke. How anyone in their right mind would consider this "good" Italian food has never had the opportunity to have good Italian food.
The spinach salad was served with so much vinegar that you could not taste anything else other than the acid from the vinegar, not even the gorgonzola cheese that was on it. I think it removed a layer of skin off my bottom lip!
My husband ordered the Porketta, I ordered the Grilled Fish with artichokes, onions, in a white wine sauce, while our friends ordered the lasagna and another pasta dish with a side of meatballs.
When the meatballs came to the table the overwhelming scent from the oregano alone should have made us get up and leave.
Actually, we should have left after the salad!
The Lasagna was not good. The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was way too sweet.
My dish didn't even resemble anything that looked like grilled fish. It was a giant mess of a dish with what looked like a piece of boiled fish thrown on top of overcooked spaghetti. The wine/lemon sauce had a nice aroma. But just looking at the dish made my stomach feel upset.
The porketta was ok, and I mean just ok. We all looked at each other, didn't eat, paid the bill and left.
If anyone ever suggests good Italian in Cabo and they mention this place you should run as fast as you can in the other direction.
The best part about the restaurant was leaving it. Bye Bye Salvatore's!

“Best meal in Cabo so far”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

Its day 10 and by far the best meal yet. There were 4 of us, we started with Bruschetta, my wife had Momma's gravy, I had pasta and clams, our friends had the lasagna and prosciutto ravioli. Good wine list. We tried each others and they were all excellent. We shared a tiramisu which was enough for the 4 of us. We will be going back once more for sure. We had 2 nice bottles of wine ($50 ea) and the bill was only. $200 with tip. Make a reservation you won't be disappointed

“Good change of pace.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 4, 2013 via mobile

Showed up about 7p to find out they do a 6p and 8p seating. Luckily they had a small bar area that could accommodate about 12-14 people. I had the
Porketta which is a pork shank (huge and cooked perfectly) with fettuccine. It was the right choice. Really good. My wife had the ravioli which consisted of 6 large pieces. Salad was tasty too and enough for two to share. Make a reservation so you can sit in the main outdoor dining area.

“Great! Crazy wedding party upstairs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

Meal and staff were great! The highlight was the wedding party eating upstairs. It was especially touching when one of the groomsmen who was mentally handicapped sang the sunshine song to the newlyweds! What a great meal and atmosphere!
