“Great room, great food, great service.”

My wife and I stayed in the Seaview tavern on a quiet night just after new year. We really loved it. Great food in the restaurant, the staff where all very friendly and a great room and view. It has a nice bar area too that was showing the football. I would highly recommend it.

Myself, my husband and our 2 children aged 7 & 10 spent a Saturday afternoon and night at the tavern. We booked a family room which was quite big and looked like it had had only recently been completly refurbished. It was very nice and had verything we needed.
We spent the evening in the bar talking to the friendly locals and tourists. Michael and Caitriona, the hosts were very friendly and welcoming.
We ate our evening meal in the restaurant and the food and service was very good and the price reasonable.
A big hot breakfast was provided in the accommodation price and it again was very nice. During breakfast Michael talked us through the local history of the tavern and the surrounding area, pointing out the places to visit. We left Sunday morning to do some sight seeing with the printed tourist instructions we were given by Michael. This took us about 1.5 hours to do and we saw some beautiful countryside, bays and scenery before heading home.
We are living in Northern Ireland for the next 12 months and will definitely head back to the tavern when our friends from Australia come over to visit.
I would recommend the Seaview Tavern as a great place to stay, have a bite to eat and enjoy a drink. Also it is a lovely area of Ireland to visit and as a tourist no trip to Ireland would be complete without a visit to the most northerly point of Ireland.

Room Tip: The tavern only has 3 rooms with 1 more offsite, so there is not a big choice. We were very happy wi...

Me and 4 friends go for an overnighter every Christmas and my friend Bundy picked the Seaview Tavern this year. It was great from start to finish. This family run tavern was very friendly and very accommodating from when we arrived until we left. We ate in the restaurant and I had the seafood chowder followed by john dory fish special and a dessert of mint aero cheesecake finished with a cappucino. I have to say it was one of the best meals of 2012.....absolutely beautiful and very fairly priced. I had a single room with a double bed and a walk in power-shower....again very good value. We had a full Irish breakfast and requesting extra toast was no problem. I would highly recommend this wee tavern for a weekend getaway or a longer stay as a base for exploring Inishowen!!! :)

Stayed here the october bank hol wend, the room we were giving was over the pub & the view from it was amazing nice to wake up in the morning & look out @ the ocean. the room was massive had a double bed & a single bed, flat screen tele in the room. bathroom was big enough with a fairly big power shower, the shower was unreal best shower ive had when away. had a few drinks downstairs in the bar that night the locals are very nice & so are the bar staff. breakfast was perfect & michael told us the history of the place whilst we were having it which was very interesting. really felt @ home in the seaview they really go out of there way to make it feel like that, would like to return again in the summer as i'd say malin head is in more beautiful then. thanks again Ciara & Steve :-)

Title sums up this place.. Staff were so friendly, hygiene and cleanliness of room was unreal, breakfast was great and location was easy to find and the view was unreal!!
The hotel itself has a homely feel to it, and there's a handy wee shop rite beside, with a wide range of foods etc at decent prices, the lady who took me to my room was casually dressed and so helpful, she showed me where everything was, even turned the heaters up for me, only regret was I hadn't much time to enjoy the view or go for a walk, but sleeping with the window open and listening to the waves crashing on the coast at night was priceless, will be back with question!

A great place to stay. We have stayed twice now and would return again. Food was excellent, very fresh and large portions, and service very friendly. Rooms clean and spacious. Overall highly recommended. The owners were very helpful and friendly.

Our great experience began with a friendly and open exchange of emails with Michael, the owner, who proved very responsive to all our questions as we planned our trip. Sadly we missed meeting him, but found wife and co-owner, Caitriona a bit more reserved, but no less helpful and accommodating. It is important to note that the Inishowen Peninsula offers breathtaking scenery and is well worth its out of the way location. If you plan to explore this extraordinary part of Ireland, The Seaview Tavern provides a satisfying accommodation in this area. We also enjoyed a fabulous meal at the restaurant. Imagine eating lobster caught at the pier across the street that very day! An altogether fabulous stay, enjoyed by everyone in our family.

Room Tip: There are rooms above the restaurant and bar, and also there are separate buildings near the propert...
