You have to stay at this B&B. The room was immaculate. The breakfast was reastaurant quality. However, it was our hosts Dorothyt and John who made our stay so memorable. We had a fabulous stay and hope to be return one day. It is an easy decision to make when looking for accommodation in this part of Scotland: Branter Lodge Guest House is a must.

Wonderful welcome from John and Dorothy with a very kind offer of a welcome glass of wine or a dram.
Our "Islay" room was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated in Islay tartan soft furnishings.En suite was perfect but the finishing touch was small side room with a selection of beverages and delicious shortbread. Breakfast menu was first class and Boy! what a breakfast, plenty to keep you going all day.
A visit here is a must, enjoy the hospitality of your hosts and the lovely view over the hills.

It has to be said that Branter B&B owners Dorothy Williamson and her husband John were the most hospitable hosts of any B&B that I have ever stayed in. Their warmth and kindness and excellent food were second to none. The facilities were excellent. I wish them continued success for the future and will certainly call back again.

Had a wonderful stay at Branter Lodge on a cycling trip round Argyll. John and Dorothy were great hosts and clearly love what they do. The room was tasteful, comfortable and spacious. I loved the selection of different teas and hot chocolates on offer and the little box containing 'things you might forget' was a lovely touch. Breakfast was a highlight, it was absolutely perfect. Warm croissants, delicious granola, a berry fruit salad, smoked salmon, full fry up (with tattie scones - my boyfriend's marker of a quality brekkie). John even offered us a cereal bar for our cycle. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back.

Branter Lodge is in a stunning location with unbelievable views from all windows. The rooms are impeccably decorated, with the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a while, and a comprehensive tea tray! Dorothy and John are lovely people, who couldn't be more welcoming (the glass of wine on arrival was greatly appreciated after a long day's work!). The guest sitting room with wood stove is a great place to unwind, and the breakfast was perfect. This is the perfect B&B in my opinion, and I'll be going back!
