“Beautiful hotel in a perfect location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

This is a first class hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean.Ours had a fabulous view over Loch Fyne. The ensuite bath and shower room was a delight to use. The food was delicious both in the bar and the restaurant, and all the staff were friendly and helpful.
Definitely a place to revisit!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a loch view

Arrived late afternoon to a warm greeting on check in ,were personally shown to our rooms-(both
With a loch view-) which were spotlessly clean. Dining in mcphunn's bistro we enjoyed the most fabulous food sat in front of a roaring fire.Breakfast the next morning just as impressive including
What seemed to be home made marmalade. All in all a wonderfull one night stay, just wish it could have been longer.

Room Tip: A room with aloch view ,and book a table for dinner.

We just spent 3 nights at The Creggans Inn. The loch is delightful and just there - all your activities are dominated by the huge stretch of water outside the window. We managed two super little walks pretty close by - wonderfully managed forestry commission paths. Also two visits to Inverary - Castle and Jail - both worthwhile. Seafood everywhere is great, but the original Loch Fyne restaurant, a short drive away, is pretty special. And the hotel food is much better than you might have expected with an almost captive audience....service, menus and execution are really very good. Rooms ( we had two for the kids and us) were comfortable and spotlessly maintained. Recommended

Unfortunately we were only there for one night bed and breakfast. We were attending a function locally so could not enjoy the wonderful dinner menu. Having said that the breakfast was delicious, the room was exceptional and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Room Tip: We were in Room 8 - overlooking the loch, large and very comfortable. It was a beautiful room.

Last stayed at Creggans in 1973 under the ownership of Sir Fitzroy and Lady Maclean with my Ma and brother. Our experience then was first rate although the ownership has changed the experience hasn't. I was doing a tour of the West Coast-stayed on the Tuesday on my long haul north and the Friday on my long haul south to Derbyshire. The rooms were beautifully decorated and prepared. On the Tuesday evening I was asked to dine in the bar area which was busy and had an agreeable atmosphere. The food and service were excellent. On my Friday night stay had a lovely room with a Loch view and ate dinner in the main dining room-again it was excellent. On both visits the breakfasts were wholesome. I shall return!

Very good location. Rooms are a good size although they are spread out. Nice guest lounge. Food and overall service very good. Beds are hard though. A little on the pricey side overall but not excessive.

Stayed here during a motorcycle tour around Scotland. The hotel is out on its own set right on the shore of loch fine. It has a small off road private car park. The hotel is very deceptive it looks small but is actually much larger.

The room was very clean and well maintained. View from the room was very nice and you could hear the water when the bedroom window was open.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing. We opted for the bed breakfast and dinner offer. The dinner was phenomenal, 6 courses (all relatively small) but I could not fault any course, the flavours and presentation was excellent.

There is a bar adjoining the hotel with a good selection of beer and spirits, you can get dinner in the bar if you don't opt for b&b&dinner. The bar has a pool table and is animal friendly. I would recommend maybe booking a table if you were going to eat in the bar, although the hotel is out on its own it was quite busy in the bar.

(Motorcyclists, bring something for your side stand as the car park is gravel and depending where you park the side stand may sink slightly)

Excellent, would definitely return.
