This was recommended to us but as it's pretty much the only place to get an evening meal in this village, we decided to give it a go. Decor doesn't score any points but the staff were friendly - even a bit too friendly when the waitress sat down at our table to take our order! The menu was unappealing and dull so we went with the 'homemade from scratch curry' as recommended by our very friendly waitress. She even recommended half and half - never in all my years of eating out has this luxury been offered to me! The chicken tikka was surprisingly good, far from the best but it did surpass our, somewhat low, expectations - and the rice was freshly cooked not uncle ben's which I was expecting. However, the chicken korma had to be seen to be believed - somewhere between a Chinese takeaway curry and a cowpat - served up with mango chutney, desiccated coconut and prawn crackers! Amazingly it didn't taste too bad at all but in no way resembled any korma I have ever eaten. We didn't try the Lumpy Bumpy but had to include it in the title as it made us laugh so much. it did sound good though.
