“Good food and a great view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2012

We ate at this restaurant in September 2008 with friends. Our dinner was a great and you can't beat the view. Sit by the railing if you can.

“Best View - Worst Food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2012

Beautiful view of the Sea of Cortez, the best in town. The food was very disappointing. I ordered the Chicken Chipotle and I got a slab of Sam's Club processed chicken that had neither the texture nor the taste of chicken. I sent it back. Fish and chips sounded like a good alternative since Guaymas is a comercial fishing center. Unfortunately, the fish turned out to be frozen farm raised fish from Viet Nam. There is no excuse for serving food like that to a paying customer.

“Great place for afternoon Margaritas!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2012

Hanging out on the window ledge during the sunset is quite fun. Sometimes you are dive bombed by seagulls. No one seems to have ever seen the sign "please don't feed the wildlife". The house parrot is very friendly. We have only had Margaritas, beer and appetizers

“MANGNIFICENT VIEWS OF THE CALIFORNIA GULF”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

The food, the smells, the atmosphere and the service, were also excellent, my wife and i will go there again, we had the diabla crab, and the shrimp machaca, both dishes were mouth watering and tasty, we enjoyed our visit very much. the restaurant is constructed up on a big rock facing the ocean, its common to see dolphins playing within few yards from you, its a great experience.

“Beautiful Views During Day, Serene sound of Crashing Wavesat Night, Food Okay.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2011

We went here for a birthday dinner. We got a late start and we had the hotel front desk call the restuarant to get reservations as they close at 10 pm and we were barely heading out at 9:45. The restaurant agreed to stay open, which was super nice. I suspect they hadn't had much business since much of San Carlos is barely making it. We walked in to an open air, Palapa roofed restaurant that sits on a cliff. It has a small steep parking lot in front. The restauarant was empty but for 2 other tables. We were seated right away right by the window and could hear the waves crashing 20 feet below us. The menu at this time - September - had a whole page of prep styles for fish, but Dorado was the fish of the day, or perhaphs week, and that was it. So the birthday boy ordered the Dorado Mexicana. It was very good, came wrapped in foil as though cooked in it with fresh veggies. It also came with rice, but I believe since it was the end of the night, they must have run out because it was maybe, maybe 3 tablespoons of rice pilaf. I had the garlic shrimp. You cant really mess that up. Mom ordered something like alfredo chicken, not exactly sure what it was, but it was okay. And Pop had oysters. (Side note: He had eaten earlier. We caught fish during our Gary's Dive Shop fishing tour, and the hotel we stayed at, Sea of Cortez Beach Club's, the kitchen prepared it for a nominal fee.)
I had 2 Pina Coladas, which were a bit sweet. And we ordered a desert, Cheesecake. It was good too. All in all, it was okay, not great. I wanted awesome, since it was a birthday dinner. The service was a bit slow as well, but our waiter was nice and curteous and they did stay open for us when there was no other place open on a Wednesday night at 9:45 p.m.

I would give it another try though because of the setting, but after i tried other restaurants in the area.
