After a lot of controversy, Starbucks nestled into the San Miguel de Allende landscape without a hitch.
The building it inhabits is several hundred years of age. Starbucks interior is more attractive than any Starbucks I ever visited in the US, because of its architectural uniqueness.
The baristas at this Mexican Starbucks do understand english. The product is excellent. Same great coffees, same great pastries. Same great service.
Ex-pats come here in droves for the coffee and for the Wifi. It is a social gathering place for out-of-country Canadians, Italians, Americans, etc.
The restaurant is spotless, as you'd expect. The wait staff is patient with "foreigners" and this Starbucks is well-located in El Centro next to El Jardin.
I continue to be impressed in every way about this coffee house.
