Four years after my experience with Rosewood Mayakobá I was very excited about visiting Rosewood San Miguel de Allende although it was only for dinner, but it was totally worth the while.
The property seems to be extremely beautiful from the little I saw. My friend and I felt very comfortable in the restaurant. The atmosphere as well as staff were simply stunning, especially when we told them that we knew Mayakobá and had had chef Hannon's food before. They really opened up and we felt both welcome and among friends.
Our food was delicious (most amazing was the shrimp burger on risotto rice) with one exception: My parmesan soup was cold and therefore it did not really blend, however we dined outside when it was already relatively chilly and that might have been a factor as well. Still, this is why I give "only 4 points" as I know Rosewood can do better. Nevertheless, dinner and wines were great and we had ordered another treat of the homemade bread which was just perfect.
We did not have drinks in the bar because we had to drive back to Queretaro in the night but it looked very inviting.
Of course dining there is pricy but I do not regret a penny spent there. I am looking forward to my next Rosewood experience.
