“Excellent Cooking Class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2012

Chef Emmanuel give a wonderful cooking class at Sazon. The kitchen is immaculate, and his staff that helps prep the food and serves hibiscus tea is wonderful. I have taken three classes from him, my mom took one, and three friends took other classes with him. We all loved the classes! Definitely a fun thing to do while in San Miguel. We all liked his market tour as well. You can participate, or just watch, your choice. It is easy to see because he has mirrors and also a tv focusing on the work. The best part is you get to eat the meal afterwards. I learned some new cooking techniques and am excited to try the recipes at home. He also provides printed recipes.

“Fun, hands-on and a great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012

My husband and I took Emanuel's cooking class at Sazon and couldn't have been happier with our experience! Emanuel gave us all market shopping bags, we headed to the local market to pick up our ingredients to cook with, and then had a great time learning to make mole. At the market we were able to try a wide variety of things and learn about them. Back at Sazon, we enjoyed some tequila and Coronitas while we were hands-on with making mole and flan. It was a great time!

“Great Cooking Class and Trip to the Market”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

Super cultural experience was spent shopping and sampling foods in the market and then preparing them with Chef Emanuel Cervantes. Wonderful way to spend part of the day in San Miguel. This was my second time to take a cooking class at Sazon and plan to do it next time I'm there!

“Buen Provecho”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

I just returned from San Miguel where we spent a wonderful morning visiting the market (el mercado) with Chef Emanuel Cervantes tasting some local specialties and shopping for ingredients to be used in our cooking class which was held in a very well equipped kitchen. The highlight was partaking in the delectable dishes prepared in class including Chile rellenos and a flan.

“Sazon Cooking School, San Miguel de Allende”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

We spent a wonderful day recently shopping at the local market, tasting, and cooking with Emanuel Cervantes of the Sazon Cooking School. The market was a real sampling adventure, something we would never had dared on our own, and an introduction to the tastes of Mexico. The recipe for our lunch was well chosen, delicious, and healthy, and there was something for everyone to do. The timing was perfect. Emanuel explained everything as he went and provided us with recipes to take home. The facilities were perfect for the activity and the large mirror and video monitor allowed us to watch Emanuel make desert while we ate our lunch. There was more than enough space for everyone to move around. We ate a small individual cafe tables complete with a colorful place mat. A real high point in our vacation!
