We were tickled reading the replies to various reviews by the owner. Definitely showed some personality. After a play, pouring rain, and having found the restaurant we intended to dine in was closed, we dashed up to a...sliding glass door that was locked. But they will ring you in if you push a bell. There was only one other table of guests and they must have just arrived. It was 9 pm, a normal dinner hour especially on a Saturday night, and the restaurant closes at 10. When we asked for more time with the wine list, the host said, sure, I'll stay open until 3 am for you. Some people came to the door and didn't see the bell to ring. When we told the owner, he said if they couldn't push the bell, then they just couldn't come in. Hilarious. Food okay, but ambiance somewhat "Through the Looking Glass." Skip this, since there are lots of great places in San Miguel.
