““Nobody goes there any more, it’s too crowded””
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

At 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon, there was already a 30-minute wait for dinner, and people were already leaving. The steak was superb. The vegetables were cold, and soggy. Service was poor, they were simply overwhelmed, which led to mistakes. Flies swarmed – when our food arrived, so did a dozen aggressive flies that landed, for 20 minutes, on every bit of food on the table, and on us. There are many good restaurants in San Miguel, we won’t go back here.

“...a lovely evening.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Tio Lucas. It TRULY is the best and biggest steak we have had in our 2 1/2 years in Mexico. The creamed spinach is delicious. The service was attentive but not obtrusive. The jazz was really nice. Our table was next to the stage but the volume was perfect. Our evening at Tio Lucas made our anniversary memorable. The only negative is smoking is permitted in the dining room.

“THEY TOOK MY MONEY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

I ate and drank at Tio Lucas three times in seven days. Great food, excellent service, wonderful Jazz. Max, the owner, is in the restaurant every night taking my money which I gladly give him. Will be back in September.
Not to be missed.

“Meat”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

If you'd like well cooked pork this might be the place. It's hosted by a very charming man, the owner I think, and the atmosphere is lively. The Centro location is pleasant, just across the street from the beautiful Angela Peralta Teatro.

“worst meal and service ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

Max the host, was very nice, but that does not make up for the horrible food and service. We ordered a caesar salad, that made table side with-something. The dressing was brown, didn't taste like any caesar I've had, and you literally could dip dressing off of the plate and lettuce. Main course: grease-soaked, soggy Red Snapper. The texture was more tilapia. No discernible sauce, Two fillets were served, and wanting them to be good, I tried each and stopped eating. My husband order the Chicken Cordon Bleu. It seemed to be filled with something similar to Velvetta. We were some-what dehydrated, so just ordered water. It was not refilled.
We sat for a very long time before a waiter came by to take our food dishes. The waiter and Max said that they tasted the fish, and agreed that it wasn't good. I wasn't charged for it. We sat for about 20 minutes until my husband had to ask for our bill again. We then had to wait and wait more, all of the time, a server noisily putting silverware away about 5 ft away from where we sat. When the bill was finally delivered, no one came to pick it up. We left some cash and left. The atmosphere (-silverware noise) was nice, and it was nicely decorated. However, I would not come back here for any reason even if it was "free"
