This is an excellent hotel situated a short distance from Lincoln city centre. Very convenient location right beside main road & easy to find. Ample car parking & very friendly efficient staff. Everything about this hotel is first class . The rooms are impressive, large & modern with a flat screen TV. Nice bathroom & a very good powerful shower. The restaurant was well run with attentive service & my evening meal was delicious. Breakfast was equally as good.

A very good hotel, great service, friendly staff - and very good value Highly recommended.

A 70th birthday celebration lunch was booked in the Crystal Room and those travelling from afar were given a special rate to stay B&B in the hotel (£75.00 per dbl rm). Booking was easy in Feb and staff were helpful in arranging 3 rooms - all to be billed to me - and forwarding menus to accomodate the fussy and the veggie. Check-in was very good as we were early and our rooms were not ready but we were given a room to shower and change in and also had early use of the spa if needed. There were long corridors but we were offered help with bags if needed and there was a lift. The family setting up the decorations met one surly member of staff but he disappeared before we arrived. The Crystal Room was large but the tables were strategically placed to make the most of the space and yet feel intimate. With a glass roof and window end, we felt as if we were in a conservatory with the sunshine pouring in, shielded by light blinds. The celebration lunch used the carvery and all tastes were well catered for with efficient and friendly service. The food was delicious - a good choice, well cooked and beautifully presented. The same was found at breakfast with good food and friendly efficient service. The bedrooms were large, modern and comfortable with an excellent bathroom and hot powerful shower. Cleanliness could not be faulted. We visited the swimming pool area whjich was bright and airy with its high wooden roof and large windows. Throughout our stay we were made to feel comfortable and treated as welcome guests - a good blend of friendliness and service. Thanks to all we met.

Room Tip: Just ask if you have special requirements.

This is an unusual review as we didn't actually get to stay in the hotel.
We booked a three night stay to coincide with the Christmas Market. Made this booking at the beginning of the year and paid the full amount £375 up front. As it turned out the Christmas Market was cancelled (first time ever) due to the atrocious weather conditions. I decided because of the weather conditions it would be unwise to attempt the journey to Lincoln as we live in Central Scotland. When I phoned the hotel to cancel my booking I was told that as it was less than 48 hours to my check-in, no refund would be given. The hotel was simply enforcing their terms and conditions on the booking. When I explained that the reason for wanting to cancel the booking was because I would be unable to make the journey on account of the weather they were completely unsympathetic. I suggested that they may consider changing the dates of my booking to no avail.
I am astonished at the completely inflexible attitude the management of the hotel have shown in this matter. Surely they should have given some consideration to the reasons why the booking was being cancelled, not least of all how dangerous it would have been to embark on such a treacherous journey due to the weather conditions.

We stayed here for two nights in May combining a nostalgic visit to Lincoln having lived there some 25 years ago with a birthday celebration. The hotel was perfectly located for us for visiting friends in the area as well as travelling to Lincoln, Newark and other surrounding towns and villages. Our stay was lovely and we already plan a return visit next May.

The hotel is situated on a business park just off the busy A46/Newark Road. Our rooom was located away from the road so was very quiet. It was very clean and comfortable with good tea and coffee making facilities as well as free wifi.

The hotel has very good spa/fitness and meeting facilities. The buffet breakfast was very good with prompt service. Although we did not have occasion to use it, the main restaurant looked lovely with an impressive menu. There is a large free car park. There are several shops, restaurants and pubs in the vicinity.

Staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly.

I recently stayed there with a colleague for work. Checking in was dealt with quickly and easily, they even offered to help me with my bags to the room. Not something that you hear at every hotel that you stay in!

The bedroom itself was quite large, with a nice comfy bed. Only grumble is that they only put one pillow out per person, although there are more pillows available in the room. I ended up ordering room service which came quite quickly. The portion size was quite large but very tasty and good value for money. It was refreshing to see that they did not charge for room service. They also had left a discount voucher for use in the hotel’s spa. Unfortunately because I was there for work I did not have a chance to take advantage of this.

Breakfast in the morning was the usual buffet affair, which was served promptly.

During the course of the day we held a series of meetings in a room which was too large for our purposes. Staff were very helpful and made sure that we had everything that we needed.

We had a buffet lunch for about 10 people and it was served promptly. The choice of food on offer was good and it was all cooked to a high standard. It looks like it is a popular place to have lunch as the restaurant was quite busy whilst we were there.

When I arrived I was made to feel welcome at this continued throughout my stay. The rooms are new, clean and comefortable. I must mention dinner. I ate the best meal I have had in a hotel in many years on the night I stayed here. It was great! Normaly I might have a starter and main course. The duck started was nicely pink and so tasty. Maincourse lamb liver and chop on black pudding washed downwith a rely good half bottle of Fleurie. I enjoyed it so much I even had dessert! Can't wait to go back.
