We called at the Glass House a couple of weeks ago at approximately 1.15 lunchtime. There was absolutely no chance of a table it was full to bursting.
Disappointed, we went elsewhere only to return there a couple of days ago. This time we arrived at 11:30 AM and could sit wherever we wished to. The atmosphere felt almost swimming pool like , as it was pouring down outside and all the glass was steamed up giving quite a humid atmosphere.
Wondering if we'd chosen the right thing in coming back, we perused the menu and I have to say there were lots and lots of options that I could have picked.
I opted for a fresh salmon salad with roasted new potatoes and my friend had the home made meat pie with potatoes and vegetables. The service and the presentation was spot-on but the food was absolutely fantastic!!
The best tasting meal I have had in ages and ages. Was persuaded into eating a pudding and again it was absolutely superlative- Plum Crumble and custard mmmm!! My friend had Eton Mess, equally yummy.
I shall definitely return. When any of my friends suggest going out for lunch I shall just suggest the Glasshouse every time then I can go as often as possible!!
