“Comfy stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Two adult couples stayed at Rushall Manor with Caroline in early Nov. We couldn't have had a better stay albeit only three nights. She cooked us a meal the first night which was lovely. Breakfasts were abundant and she gave us tea every afternoon. The beds were super comfy and we had everything we needed. Caroline is a wonderful hostess who welcomed us warmly along with Zoe, her lab. Although we know the area, maps and directions were forthcoming with super ideas and directions. Evening meals were taken in Upvon five minutes away. We found the Antelope to be the best pub food.
I am delighted that I found Rushall Manor and would definately stay again and highly recommend this bed, and breakfast

What an amazing experience. Caroline, the host, could not be more welcoming and attentive. After arriving a few hours later than expected from our Wedding service, Caroline welcomed us with a cup of tea served in her kitchen. After turning down our bed she showed us to our beautiful room where we found a bottle of complimentary fizz, chilling in a champagne bucket.

In the morning, after a great nights sleep on our large comfortable bed, we went down to breakfast. We ate in the stunning formal dining room and had a large choice of cereals, fruit and yogurt to start. Caroline then served a full English breakfast, which we had chosen the night before. The food was delicious, piping hot and left us full and ready to face the day. Whilst we dined, our room was made up.

As we had travelled to the Manor house by taxi, Caroline offered to drop us back to our cottage in a near by village so we could continue to prepare for our wedding party that evening. We were given a key to the Manor so we didn't need to worry about what time we returned.

Before heading off to our party we both enjoyed a piping hot bath - so large that Suzie could lay completley flat.

In the morning we enjoyed yet another delicious and filling breakfast and after checking out were taken by Caroline to where we had left our car the night before.

We would thoroughly recommend Rushall Manor to everyone. Caroline and her beautiful labrador Zoe made our wedding weekend all the more special and we have already decided that our first anniversary has to be spent there.

This was a really lovely place to stay and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Caroline is a great host and really thinks about the little things. Including letting us use her patio in the glorious weather we had and providing tea and fresh baked cake! The house is beautiful and in a great setting. Shame we only had one night to stay.

As a rambling sailor/touring musician I've see my fair share of B&Bs over the years - this is the most impressive and welcoming one I've stayed in!

Rushall Manor is a clean, tidy manor house with plenty of character.
The house is full of interesting pictures, books, paintings and things to look at and we were fascinated by all of them. I wanted to explore the gardens a bit, but sadly the weather kept us inside in the morning.

Caroline is a wonderful lady who runs an amazing place, She was very understanding about us having to come back in the middle of the night and even held breakfast for us until the last of us rose from the dead in the morning, despite her starting a very busy day herself.

We left there wanting to stay a few days longer as we were only staying one night, alas it wasn't possible this time round, we're currently looking for excuses just to go back!

Being a musician on a Pirate Folk Rock band called "Pyrates!", it's hard to find a place to sleep after a great show. Especially when there's a festival in the neighborhood and everything is booked. Lucky as we were, Rushall Manor seemed to have a few places left for us. I can only say, this is perfect. Caroline is one of the most lovely and helping person I've met in the UK so far. After checking in, she gave us the key so we could come in in the middle of the night. This we did, arrived at 03.30 am and went straight to the heavenly beds. Despite the fact Caroline serves breakfast until 9.30am she made an exception for us musicians so we could have breakfast until 10.00am. Even when I suddenly woke up at 11 (!!) she didn't mind to make a breakfast for me. It was just so perfect. Next time, we'll absolutely go back here again and I recommend everybody to go there. This is literally heaven on earth!

Rushall Manor was suggested as a place we could relax after our wedding. We had no idea that Caroline would do more than expected and make our wedding night a truly special one.
We had our reception 4 miles away and did not finish until around midnight.
Caroline had offered to pick us up from the party and turned up her car tied with beautiful ribbons and brimming with genuine happiness for us both.
When we arrived at the house we found our room, a stunning double with private bathroom decorated with flowers and looking amazing. We expected a B&B (Albeit in a beautiful house with stunning views), instead we had a true welcome, a friendly happy hostess with a very well trained and adorable dog called Zoe.
Breakfast was a treat on its own and cooked to perfection. The views over Salisbury Plain and the Avon Valley extending back to the Vale of the White Horse were truly stunning.

My wife an I live and work in the Middle East, we would both whole heartedly encourage anyone, any age to go and stay with Caroline. We stayed for 2 nights and so did 3 of our close friends. We felt so welcome, almost a part of the family.

Thank you so much Caroline and Zoe. We will certainly come back and stay with again the next time we are in the UK.

Room Tip: Just go and see for yourself. A real treat.

What an amazing house and host! I stayed with 4 friends on the night of the 16th June 2012.

With a crunchy gravel drive and pillared entrance, this B&B makes you feel special before you even walk in the imposing front door.

We were greeted by Caroline, the B&B owner, and her gorgeous (slim) yellow Labrador Zoe and warmly welcomed into her beautiful home.

The inside of the house is as impressive as the outside and has a warm and homely feeling. We were offered the most delicious cup of tea from a pot, which sealed the deal for me.

The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrrom a pleasure, with the deepest and longest bath I have seen in years. I woke up to beautiful sunshine and the smell of frying bacon and came down to a mountain of a breakfast, which I was warned not to share with Zoe!

It was a great weekend and staying at Rushall Manor rounded off the whole experience perfectly. Go and stay just for the night, it's worth the trip.

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room.
