“Fabulous!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We had the most fabulous stay at Magoebaskloof Hotel between 15/6 and 17/6. We got the stay through Daddy's Deals which made it an absolute bargain at R499 per couple B&B...when I stayed there 20 +years prior I think I paid something similar. The rooms have uninterupted views over the forest canopy where one can get truly lost in the beauty of the place. We explored the most fantastic roads on our motorcycle...be patient with the roadworks in the area as they are sure to improve ones experiences in the future...The hotel was fairly busy over the weekend with other bikers(kindred spirits) coming and going....the food and service was exceptional.....Seamus&Lisa McGuigan.

What a wonderful relaxing weekend with friends and the motorbikes! The roadwork on the way to Magoeba’s a bit frustrating but you forget them the minute you arrive at this tranquil heaven on earth. Nice to see friendly faces from the first moment we arrived until the last moment when we departed! Reception is well trained and very helpful, they know the surrounding area well and can send you on a day trip with a smile on their faces, no matter what your request is. Excellent food and personal touch by your chef! Clean comfortable rooms, they almost tuck you in at night!
The "mango"monkey on the veranda, peeking when you have your afternoon nap!!!! Sunrise view from your window makes you feel humble toward God’s wonderful creation of earth. What an experience.
Tzaneen is not that far and a scenic route with the motorbikes well worth! Nice coffee stops along the road and a relaxing afternoon at Magoeba’s watching the rugby game in your room or while having a pub lunch! Don’t’ forget the coffee and cake on the restaurant “stoep”!
Thank you everyone at Magoeba’s!!! Well done and we will see you soon again, and bring more friends with!!!

Room Tip: I think every room has it's own beauty !!!!!!!!!!!!

This Hotel is in Limpopo a very beautiful part of our country. The views & surrounding scenery are stunning! The accommodation was very comfortable & clean. Most enjoyable breakfast, evening meal & the service was amazing. If you want to be near Haenertsburg / Magoebaskloof & hiking trails, it is a very scenic route to travel. There are walking trails etc. Enjoyed our stay will be back and recommend it to all family and friends

I would recommend this hotel not only for the fabulous service and great food, but because of the spectacular views down the valley - not only from our balcony, but also from all of the other rooms. We really loved the mist in the mornings and evenings. The hotel has recently been upgraded and the rooms are quite comfortable. A visit to the fabulous bar is a must! We will return soon!

we had a wonderful, restful weekend on 'The Mountain'. The staff tried their best to make it a memorable time with old fashioned friendly service and catering to all our needs. The room was comfortable. The general areas had blazing fires and the views were incredible. A place to revisit soon!

Room Tip: views spectacular

I arrived at the hotel after 20:30 in rain and mist and cold weather without a booking, Was not expecting much but a real suprise was awaiting me.

A room was available and the price, dinner and breakfast included, was acceptable.

Dinner was excellent with a menu from which it was diffucilt to choose from but after getting some reccomendations from the waiter I ordered the snail as starter and the Steak with blue cheese and avocado as the main course.

The food was well prepared and presented and my main course was the best I had in years and not something you will normally associated with a hotel in Limpopo but rather with some posh restaurant in Sandton or Rivonia.

Dessert was also very good and after dinner I had a short discussion with the chef and compliment him on his menu and quality.

The room was basic but very neat with a great view over the swimming pool and the valley down below. The misty conditions attribute to a very cosy evening.

Breakfast was again great with to much to choose from and the portions more suited for a viking than for a normal person, but no complaints.

Magoebaskloof Hotel can really be recommended if your looking for a great setting, excellent food and a reosonable price.

They will definately see me again.

Go Magoebaskloof!!!!!!!

Dawid Ludik

Room Tip: I believe all rooms overlook the swimming pool and valley
