“Great luxury resort at base of Beaver Creek mountain”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

As a loyal Hyatt traveller, we planned a summer family vacation around staying at this particular resort in Beaver Creek. With great summer rates, great outdoor pool area, fire pit at night, and activities for the kids, this choice was perfect! The hotel was all and more that you should expect from a Park Hyatt - cozy lobby area, very nice restaurant, great pool/hot tub area at the base of the mountain, beautiful, cozy fire pit at night, good kids' activities and convenient to all of the shops/restaurants/ice rink of Beaver Creek Village.

Our family of 4 shared 2 connecting rooms, one with 2 queen beds, and the other with a king bed. The bathrooms were a great size (loved the towel warmer), and the beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept in! The kids loved the nightly cookies and we were, overall, thrilled with this hotel choice, especially at the summer pricing. My ONLY complaint was that I did not think the breakfast buffet was deserving of the high per person price tag. Since my husband is a Hyatt diamond-club member, breakfast was comped for us, but I would have been upset if I had been paying the very high price per person. It's not that the buffet was "bad" - it's just that it was not worthy of the price tag. You'd be much better off finding another breakfast in town or just outside of town. Since our breakfasts were free, we did not explore the area for breakfast options at all.

We do love Beaver Creek - love the mountain base area with the hotel and some various restaurants, and love how accessible and walkable the village is. HOWEVER, we tend to be late dinner eaters on vacation (8:30 or so), and had difficulty finding places to eat around 9pm after ice skating in the evening. I had no idea how quiet this village is by 9pm in the summer. Vail has much more to offer in terms of restaurant options/hours, though it's much larger and loses the convenience and charm that the smaller Beaver Creek Village does offer.

Would love to return in the winter next time!

Room Tip: Request mountain-view.

We stayed here for a week and had perfect weather. The ski valet is awesome besides when it took longer to find your skis (sometimes it was just worth it to leave them during the day against the wall instead). Housekeeping is awesome and super efficient here, called a number of times and they were always up in 5 minutes. The spa is amazing (they even personally delivered beer for us) and so is the outdoor heated pools. Everyone seemed upbeat, but not fake. The hotel did not get loud or too overwhelmed with guests. There's tons of place to find your own lil abode outside of the room to relax in. I can say this was an unforgettable winter trip. The location is awesome on one side you can ski in ski out and on the other you are right on the village main shopping area.

The main bad review I can say is regarding the bar tenders, it took forever for our drinks to come when we ordered them in the lobby. At times we waited for 20-30 minutes which is crazy since the bar is literally steps away and for the price I would have expected way better service.

Room Tip: ask for a porch!

This is a great family place. Great ski location for the family especially if you are aiming for the kids to learn to love skiing. They make it easy for the kids to get on the ski slope and the chocolate chip cookies in the am and pm are great! The hotel itself is very very nice and cozy and reliable in terms of service, amenities and decor. Our only complaint was thin walls and don't get a room that shares a door, we had bad luck with a young couple as our neighbors over xmas holiday and let's just say we did not get much sleep and the kids were asking what the uh and the eh was all night long! Aside form that one night, the rest of the stay was great. The Spa was great too.

Room Tip: Mountain view is great!

We found the staff to be attentive to all the details of our stay - from ski rentals, to the ski valet service, to the room preperation and condition. There was absolutely not one part of our visit that was anything but exceptional. From the meal options offered to the service and the wonerful winter ski chalet atmosphere, we were never disappointed. I would highly recommend this destination for any ski enthusiast - both for families, couples or individuals.

Can't beat the location for skiing set right at the base close to the Centennial Lift. The rooms were spacious, clean and in good shape. The dining area was rather uninspiring with no attempt to capture the majestic mountain views during breakfast. Chef consistently screwed up "eggs over easy". Had to ask too often "could you take this toast (bagel, English muffin) back and bring one that is warm and soft?"
The ski valet is another story. Upon departure, our skis were packed in their tube carelessly without proper securing of the bindings as should have been done.

Room Tip: Slope view is the best.

I've stayed at this property twice - once in May and once in January and both times the service was exquisite. May was like a ghost town and January was peak season, but both times my experience at this hotel was excellent. The rooms are wonderfully equipped and the bath products are top-notch. The fitness facilities and spa have a nice variety of equipment and were very luxurious.

During the winter months, the ski valet provided convenient access to ski equipment, and you can't beat the location. The lifts are just a step beyond the back door. When I pulled up at the hotel, the bellman greeted me by name, and remember me from the last I time I stayed at the property.

It can get pricey during peak season, but this is a luxury hotel that I would love to stay at again in the future.

The Park Hyatt offers luxury & location when it comes to a ski vacation. The ski valet is steps from the gondola, so it takes little time or effort to start your day on the slopes. You can also ski to Bachelor Gulch & Arrowhead if you want to expand your horizons beyond Beaver Creek.

The opposite side of the Park Hyatt is in the middle of everything...skating rink, shopping, dining, etc. right outside the door.

The Park Hyatt is only about a 10-minute drive from Vail, so it is easy to ski, shop or dine there.

The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The spa is very nice. There is a fine dining and a casual dining option on site. The service levels are high, from the bellman at arrival, to the front desk and housekeeping staff, to the ski valet and dining employees.

The outdoor pool sparkles and the workout equipment is state-of-the-art.

The resort fee is high, however, it includes bottled water/smores at the fire pit/free internet.

We stayed there on Christmas and the decorations, proximity to the outdoor Christmas music and lights (including our view of the same from our room), and the falling snow made it magical.

Room Tip: There are rooms that face the mountain that have beautiful daytime views and rooms that face the ska...
