The Park Hyattt has the best location in Beaver Creek, and one of the best locations of any ski hotel I know. Just outside the hotel is a lift to take you partly up the mountain where you can ski down to the Centennial lift. If you walk out the hotel on the other side, you are on top of the ice rink and the shops and restaurants of Beaver Creek. Fortunately, the Park Hyatt takes advantage of this prime location by giving guests a topnotch winter experience. There is a very nice spa and fitness facility with a view of the mountains. Enjoyed the steam room, sauna and an exercise class. The lobby has a comfortable mountain feel with stone fireplace, antler chandelier, and a bar during peak apres-ski hours. A beautiful pool and several hot tubs lie just outside the spa and fitness area. There are complimentary smores to roast over the fire in the late afternoon. The bar is lively and the food at the Restaurant is very good. There is a nice cafe in the lobby for a light breakfast if you don't want a sit down breakfast. Getting your skis at the slopeside valet area is as easy as it gets at a ski resort. The rooms are very nice, with fresh carpet, curtains and bedspread. I wish they all had a fireplace like some competing properties at this price point, but they do not. I agree with others that valet parking is very pricey, but underground parking in a ski town is costly. If I had any complaint, it is that staff, while pleasant and friendly, does not go the extra mile to make you feel special. Still, there are enough things that this hotel has just right to merit a 5-star rating. I would return in a heartbeat.
