“Great family ski resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

This was our annual family ski trip during President's week off from school. Resort was excellent. We has a 1 bedroom suite, generously sized, nicely decorated, kitchen fully equipped and clean.
The athletic club is one of the best I have used during any ski trip out west. Ski valet and room to leave skis and boots was conveniently located by the gondola to Beaver Creek Mountain. Staff and service was great, although housekeeping timing was inconvenient (even with request for morning cleaning- while we were all out of the room)Fresh baked and delicious cookies at 4pm daily. Fully stocked cafe for quick bite to eat. Would definitely stay her again.

“Four days of great skiing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

We are summer time owners at this westin property, (although we have never stayed here before) and bought an extension during one of the "presentations" they subject owners to at each visit. (we are always compensated in some manner, so we do it). We had a lovely "premium" one bedroom villa....it includes a large bedrooms, living/dining area and full kitchen. since we were in the ahndicap accessible suite, I am not sure what the bathrooms are normally like. The villas are in a seperate building from the hotel, so you must wear suit and robe, walk outside through thehotel lobby to gain access to hot tubs, pool, exercise or pool area. The other option is to walk through a crowded, dark and cold parking garage.
Other than this , it is great. The view is wonderous, the accommodations great. I loved having the ski valet hand me my skis as we stepped on to the gondoloa to the ski area. It was convienent and easy. We did have a car, so getting tto restaurants was easy. I have taken the bus in other visits and it is easy to get from the mountain, to Westin, it stops right by the hotel...a VERy short walk accros a bridge from the main bus transfer point. I don't know if they have shuttle service to restaurants or not. It would be helpful.
The hotel lobby gets very crowded after skiing. Get there early to have a seat. There are happy hour specials on drinks, food and they usually have great music. There are lots of families with small children at that time, so it can be noisey and boisterous.
At the villas, we selfed parked, but the rate is usually $24/night.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the mountain (odd number) have a great view. The others overlook the bus stop and t...

“Great Beaver Creek Ski Vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

My husband and I stayed at The Westin Riverfront for 4 nights (Feb. 2013). It was a wonderful experience. Our room was perfect for the two of us---a cozy fireplace, a well appointed kitchenette, and a large bathroom. Staff was very friendly and the ski valet located on the property was wonderful. The gondola ride up to the Beaver Creek Landing was easy to use and right outside the door of the property, although I preferred to take the shuttle up to the resort, also very easy to use. Live music in the bar every night was nice too! Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of the resort. We will be sure to return again!

THE WESTIN RIVERFRONT was the best vacation we have ever had, and we have had a plenty of vacations around the world. The staff was the most courteous we have ever encountered, starting with the valet men helping us with our car at the entrance! They were very polite and even happy! Didn't mind tipping them well! The Westing must be very good to them! The women at the front desk were so wonderful and helpful. What an awesome place it must be to work!! Because even one of the managers came out (get this . . . on crutches!) and he was even in the spirit of being aware of our presence and greeted us!! The staff was incredibly beyond nice and polite. They were glad we were there! We don't get this out there in the world! Our room was perfect! Top notch clean, updated, smelled nice (not over powering cleaning smells!) ~ it was the best bed I ever slept in! We really didn't want to leave! We'll come back for sure! Everyone needs to know about THIS particular Westin!! A one and only! Yes ~ S U R R E AL!!!

Room Tip: Whew! I really couldn't say because it was really nice and I'm not good with directions on w...

“Denver Getaway”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

My friend and I stayed at the Westin Riverfront for one night while we visited friends and skied. We arrived on Sunday afternoon and the front desk staff was attentive and helpful. The resort is a full service valet, so you have to valet your car, which proved to be a slight pain when the valet took our car down to the parking garage prematurely as we were bringing our skis over to the ski valet and hadn't taken our luggage out yet. The ski valet is a good idea because you don't have to bring your skis and snowboards to your room, except when we got out in the morning they couldn't find our skis initially.
The hotel itself is gorgeous. The rooms are standard and well equipped. They even have a mini humidifier which is absolutely a necessity! There is a small shop next to the gondola which serves quick breakfast options which is awesome for everyone trying to get out to the slopes as early as possible.
The biggest issue we had was the location of the resort. There is a gondola that travels to Bear Creek Landing and then you take a shuttle to the village or a ski lift up to the mountain. We had friends staying at a condo in Bear Creek Landing, so we picked the Westin due to the location and quick access with the Gondola. However, the gondola shuts off at 5 pm. And so we asked so many staff members how to get back after it shuts down and no one was able to give us a direct answer. So we ended up taking a bus "close" to the hotel and walked along some dark unlite street to try to find our way back. We were told there was some sort of "path" but the only path we could find lead to a steep, dark, icy boat loading. I have no idea how people do anything after 5 pm while staying at the Westin. We had other friends that stayed at the Ritz and they had a shuttle that came and picked them up. . .

Thank you for describing the resort as gorgeous, and our villas as well equipped. We hear that a lot, the Lift Café couldn’t possibly be more convenient literally just steps away from your equipment and the high speed gondola. While valet parking is mandatory during peak periods for the Resort guests, those who are staying in the Villa building always have the benefit of self parking. Upon arrival villa guests are issued a mirror hang tag that will identify your vehicle and allow the staff to recognize you as a Villa guest with self parking privileges. The Riverfront Express Gondola leaves the Resort on a three-minute ride to Beaver Creek Landing. Once there, you can hop on one of two high-speed quad chairlifts to get you farther up the mountain, or take ground transportation to Beaver Creek Village. After hours and late night riders can take ground transportation from Beaver Creek Landing to any of the parking lots, Elk or Bear where they make a transfer taking them to the Avon Station Transportation Center located across the street from the Resort. Our concierges are well informed and armed with printed collateral to help you navigate what initially can seem like a complicated transportation system. We are so sorry we failed to get you this information. Thank you for the feedback, we hope we clarified a few things for you , and do hope you will allow us host your stay again.
