“peraleja golf resort”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

we went as a group of eight male golfers. We had two of the two bed villas as we booked through golfbreaks.com. They were ideal for what we needed with ample kitchen and two shower rooms (one en-suite) the swimming pool was quite small and probably not suitable for a family. We all found the resort perfect to our needs and the staff were excellent in the resturant, bar and golf shop. The prices in the resturant seemed reasonable while the bar was excellent value at 2 euros a pint. The place is a bit shabby around the edges what with some villas in various states of construction not that we saw any work going on while we were there!! The course itself is well laid out and quite challenging and although playing it 5 times in 7 days it never got tiresome, but you can see there is a lack of money being invested in the complex as the course was a bit bear in places but after playing other courses in the region it was definitely the best of the lot. Would definitely recommend this complex to anyone how enjoys a challenging game of golf. One last thing always have a car as its at of the way a bit and I wouldn't bother with Riqueleme next door found very pretentious and expensive.

booked our hoilday through golf breaks .com, at very reasonable price , was a bit wary , because of reviews on here, but got to say was wonderfull,

arrived late on mon 10th oct 2011, bar was still open , very reasonable 3,80 for a pint . next morning we were 1st to t off 8am , and with a hangover the 1st hole was a very demanding par 5 (even sobber).
caddymaster very helpfull went out her way to help us several times, made freinds with parkie always helpfull as well .
walked into the local village( as we didnt rent a car ) it was about 15 to 20 min walk where we found the local supermarket , it was either very resonablely priced or the man behind the counter short changed himself as we bought all our drink and food for our weeks holiday and it only came to 60 euro a steal as far as we are concerned , with all our shopping and no car and no taxis we managed to tlkm to the locals and one in a local bar offered to take us home, which wasnt needed as we meet ann , she had seen us on the golf course earlier in the day and offered to take us home because she is a villa owner on peraleja( directly across from the 12th green) ann also helped us later in the week when she brough us loafs and milk as we had ran out,

taxis into san javier were 35 euro each way , which we did sevral times , we also played roda golf course which was excellent. we had also booked to play the neighbouring course hacienda which was 2 km away , we went to peraleja caddymaster to phone a taxi for us , to which she said that someone from our resort would take us there (bonus) we had to walk bk which was sore on the feet after our round but did jump the fence to make it shorter.

peraleja golf course was very nice , fairways were not the best but greens were perfect if unreadable at times , we walked the course every morning and buggies in afternoon heat , we did recive a few buggies free of charge but these are very reasonable at 20 euros a round ,
we had booked a 2bedroom villa which was not the case , instead we arrived at our digs for the week and there it was a 4 BEDROOM luxuray villa with private pool sheeer class!

would i go back , YOU BET!!!

Room Tip: ask for a room near to club house as you could end up with a long walk to 1st tee!!

Having seen the pictures of this golf resort we were really looking forward to staying in La Peraleja. We paid 700 euros for a week in a 2 bedroom villa in August. The resort itself is beautifully designed, with a very modern Clubhouse, Piano bar, tapas bar and equestrian centre. Location is very convenient for Murcia airport and the nearby town of Sucina has a handy supermarket plus a couple of restaurants and bars.

Our booking confirmed that 'the villas are all frontline golf', unfortunately this was not true and our view overlooked other villas and unfinished properties. When we asked to change having viewed the villa offered the receptionist Laura could not have been more dismissive - saying our booking did not confirm a golf view despite the printed confirmation in front of her, then picking up the phone mid conversation and ignoring me. Also not mentioned in the information was that much of the resort is not complete - at least half of the site is unfinished - houses and roads.

Our villa was minimally equipped - all furniture, cutlery, curtains, sofas, wall pictures, bedding is IKEA, not the most expensive but functional. We told the Reception on the Monday of our stay that the washing machine was broken, 2 of the 3 patio chairs provided were broken and that no key was provided for our kitchen door which led to an outdoor area. Nothing happened so we reported the same faults on Tuesday - the washing machine was then fixed but the other requests were ignored leaving us with one useable outdoor chair and an unlocked door for seven nights.

The resort would be fine if you just wanted to play golf but not for famillies. If I were to stay here again I would book a private villa, not one through the Golf Club, they couldnt have cared less!

Room Tip: Book through a private owner

We stayed in a villa at la Peraleja for the first week of July. Tha villa was spotlessly clean and very well furnished with a good sized private pool.

The golf resort is immaculate, although we did not play on the golf course. The club house is very nice and the food superb. Coffee was only a couple of euros and a 3 course dinner approx 30 euro, the fillet steak is divine. We also visited the tapas bar which was a nice place for a drink.

The tennis courts were very quiet and we used them everyday, bring your own rackets and balls as I am not sure if you can hire them there.

We visited the calblanque national park for the beach that was 1/2 hour drive away. It was stunning and reminded me of the cape in Africa.

There is a small supermarket in sucina which was ok, and a few cafes there. The pizza takeaway was good also.

The nearest big supermarket was in San javier at the dos mares complex, this was also open on a Sunday.

The only downside was the lack of wifi in the resort, there is however a computer you can use in the clubhouse if you need it.

Overall we had a fantastic holiday and have already booked for next year.

Stayed at Peraleja from 12-19th May golf break with three friends, weather was overcast but warm, accommodation was good we had a four room villa, basic but everything you would need.

Clubhouse 50 metres from the villa, the course was in very good condition as was Requelme Hacienda which we played twice and is only a few miles from Paraleja, this course was very impressive. Unfortunately we only ate in the club house restaurant once; as usual this was on our last night, highly recommended, service and food excellent, good value, dont dismiss it like us.

Sucina is a small village with a few bars and good options for eating out, forget about the Indian restaurants very poor, only other negative, if you do not have your own transport beware of the local taxi’s the have a minimum charge of 25 euro’s to pick you up from the complex, we managed to arrange for a local Scots guy called Bill to run us around and see the sights, he was great, all and all a good time,

Great trip with four friends to La Peraleja, Murcia last November. The weather was excellent, T shirt and shorts everyday. Peraleja is approx 15 mins for San Javier airport, and 15 mins to the beach. You do need a car but they are realtively cheap if you book ahead(doyouspain.com). The new road is nearly ready so I reckon it will cut the journey down to 10mins easily. Golf course is immaculate and very well designed(Seve Ballesteros). The club house is spectacular, with excellent food and friendly, helpful staff. Local amenities in nearby village of Succina-5mins drive away.
We went wine tasting to the local region which was thouroughly enjoyable and would recommend.
The villa we rented was superb, very clean and furnished to a very high standard. Did have its own pool but a little chilly for a dip that time of year, but very relaxing sitting out in the garden overlooking the golf course. The location of the villa was very convenient for the clubhouse, a minute away.(peralejagolfvilla4u.co.uk).
Although this resort is brand new, I would highly recommend this for a golfing/tennis or just a relaxing holiday. It offers it all, so much so we are going to book again for this year.

We arrived Christmas Eve - thankfully before midday as - since the development is brand new they heating wasnt working and neither was there any hot water ..... luckily the staff who were not responsible for the villa at all (privately owned) were gracious enough to help us resolve the issues that would have resulted in us driving to find a hotel on Christmas Eve ... Thank goodness we didnt arrive in the afternoon.

Accommodation was fine, great location if you are golfers and dont need to do any sight seeing or shopping as everything was quite far away.

Roads badly marked
Roads BAD
Buying a simple carton of milk would be a 45min round trip
