We stayed at Ocho Tulum for five days in early May. (We were four nights at another spot -- that's a different review entirely.) Let's just say we were very relieved to arrive at Ocho!
John, the manager, greeted us and made us feel welcome right away. We had booked the gardenview cabana for $120 per night and were very pleased with it. Though, we were right next to the driveway next to the windmill so after two nights we asked if there was another option, and we moved to the much quieter cabana at the end. They were VERY accomodating, moved our bags, and completely understood our concern.
We can't say enough good things about this place -- great showers, friendly staff, great waiters in the restaurants, wonderful beach -- we were totally relaxed by the time we left and were very sad to go.
Our room included the continental breakfast but we opted for a bit heavier fare so usually had something else. Everything was beautifully presented and what I would expect to see in a high end restaurant.
It was on the far southern end of the beach and we actually preferred it to the north section. I would highly recommend Ocho Tulum.
