Our daughter was married on May 4, 2007 at the Azul Blue and it was just wonderful! We had 32 guests who were all treated like royalty! The attention from the whole staff, from the G.M. to the housekeeping staff was impeccable! Our wedding coordinator, Fabiola, is so competent and professional. The head chef, Heiner, is a jewel...the food here is the best we've ever had, and HE is the primary reason!! His whole kitchen staff, especially the pastry chef, were 5-star! As good as anything in the world! The rest of the staff, including Diego, Gabriel, Roberto, and Noe, were so courtly and consistently eager to accomodate our every wish, that we simply could not have ask for more! Our butlers in Villa's 5 and 6, as well as all the beach butlers, including Freddie, were untiring in their attentiion. The Karisma Group of Hotels is truely fortunate to have them all on their team!! This is a great resort for a special event, such as ours, or simply a wonderful and relaxing get-away. We will be returning, no doubt!!

Wonderful vacation! I really could not complain about anything. This is a wonderful place to go to relax and re-charge. There is no beach, but we knew this ahead of time. There are two beach clubs near the hotel that we had planned on visiting, but once we arrived, we knew we didnt ever want to leave.
The food and the service was great! Anything you want is right in front of you before you can even ask for it.
We pretty much had the whole place to ourselves, which we LOVED! This means excellent chefs often preparing wonderful meals just for US. The Green Mazatlan Ceviche and the Salmon Bagels were amazing. They will even bring it to your pool chair or (wonderful) beach bed. Just ask the beach butlers to set these all up for you. You will love it!
Room butlers were great too. We used them much more than we thought we would.
I expected a lot for the price, but every expectation was exceeded.
I will be back as soon as possible!

...oh, and please opt for the limo transfer to and from the hotel. This is a long ride and well worth it.

  • Liked — Service, food, views, pool, room, location...EVERYTHING!
  • Disliked — Distance from airport, but worth it.!

I just returned from 5 days at Azul Blue hotel in Tulum - Riviera maya Mexico: What an amazing place, the hotel is wonderful, lovely rooms, very quite and laid back location, great restaurants, the food is really good, and it is all inclusive. They give a whole new meaning to all inclusive, it was some of the best food I have had anywhere- at any hotel. The staff could not do enough to make sure you are happy , they know your name right away and are so pleasant. This was deffinatly a top notch experience, even though there is no beach on site to speak of a the hotel its self, they have a beach club about three minutes away buy private shuttle - it is by far one fo the most amazing beaches I have ever been on- miles of white soft sand and blue blue water, with not a pebble in site! Beyond Compare. I will be back over and over.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful week at Azul Blue. So much pampering has us completely spoiled! The hotel is just beautiful and so clean. We had many wonderful meals and fantastic cool drinks by the pool. We only left the resort twice during the week, once to shop at Tulum and another time to visit the Mayan Ruins. Both were good outings but we were anxious to get back to the hotel for more rest and relaxation. The occasion was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and it exceeded our expections. If you like good food prepared fresh and love good wine and just want to relax, this is the place for you!

The drive to the resort is not pretty but once you get there you really don't want or need to leave.

Just got back today and could not wait to gush about how wonderful our experience was at Azul Blue. My husband and I left our two young kids at home and celebrated a romantic 10th anniversay at this resort. There were probably 40 other guests when we were there (no kids in sight thank goodness) and it seemed the staff to guest ratio was 1:1. The service was amazing - we were so pampered. We got up each morning and ate breakfast then found our perfect spot for the day by the ocean in the shade. As we read, talked and napped we were waited on "hand and foot" by the sweetest beach butlers. They brought us delicious and pretty drinks (think hollowed out coconuts and pineapples with fruity concoctions) mexican beers and non-alcoholic frozen "lemonades". Half of these we ordered, the other half they just thought we might want one and guess what - we did - how did they know!!! They brought by assorted yummy foods as treats (again we did not order these - they just thought we might like a bite of something delicious - and we did!). The fruit skewers, cold seafood bites and tiny cold desserts were very gourmet and delicious. And then we ordered lunch - the best guacamole and chips, shrimp ceviche, chicken wrap, I could go on and on. Finally at the end of the day, we would go back to our room, shower and go eat dinner. Dinner was amazing as well - food was delicious, house wine was great service again excellent. FInally we would go back to the bar or turn in for the night - all that eating and pampering had worn us out. Complete decadence!!! Sounds fun doesn't it?!! We had the best trip and feel so lucky to have spent 4 fabulous nights and wished we could have spent longer. Unfortunately, we had to get back to reality (and a strict diet - I gained 5 pounds in 4 days) but will never forget such a relaxing, luxurious and romantic vacation.

  • Liked — The service, food and total luxury!
  • Disliked — The architecture in the cabanas was stunning but a little impractical as 2 story ceilings and stuccoed/tile surfaces allowed for noise to carry. We wished we could not hear noise so clearly outside our room.
