“Pretty good, not great.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We got married here in April 2014. The service at the resort was excellent and the wedding planing team was fantastic! Our wedding was much better than what we expected given it was a destination wedding. Having said that, the beach was nice but not great, Tulum has much better strips of beach and in fact we went to the public beaches because they were much nicer. The food was the biggest disappointment: The buffet was not good and the A la Carte restaurants had really long waiting lines and were good but not excellent. The rooms were nice but a bit old and some of them were falling apart. The whole hotel is in need of some maintenance.

We had a large group for vacation and all we could all day was WOW what a great trip!! Alex the GM and his team took care of our every need. I could write forever about all the great staff and activities, but I'll keep it to my favorite.
Gilberto was my favorite bartender by the pool, he was so friendly and made great drinks. Master D- ( he had a super long name so I gave him a shorter on) was our bartender at the disco and was so FUN!!
The entertainment staff do you ever sleep? Manuel and team kept you hoping and laughing all day and night with activities. My absolute favorite was the new water show, it was like a Vegas style show at the resort. The Super Bowl party was also a highlight.
The food was also good, we have done a lot of all inclusive resorts and Dreams really does a nice job. I have never seen so many great choices at breakfast. Even room service was super good.
The resort is well maintained and the service is over the top!! The rooms are very clean! The grounds are immaculate.
I can't think of any negative to share because it was all so amazing! Plan your vacation at Dreams Tulum today!
Can't wait to go back and see everyone thanks so much to the Dreams Tulum staff!
Cool last thing I want to share- Dreams Tulum allows guest to make a donation to help send the staff and family to college, I made a donation and if you can we can all make a difference together. The staff does a lot of amazing things for you on vacation do something for them!

This is the second time we stayed at Dreams Tulum, would recommend this resort. Our favorite employee there is Daniel, the beach waiter. He always made sure we had a drink and food or what we needed. Great food and great and friendly service. The people that work at the resort make this resort a wonderful place to vacation. We will be returning for another stay.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room

Stayed here for a week with a friend for our annual "friendcation". We made the reservation a month prior with RCI and found cheap flight and stay so we thought we would try it out! I have been to other resorts in the area in the past and was willing to try Dreams and All-inclusive for the first time. First off, I have to commend the the entertainment staff, or even better the Entertainment gurus! Manuel and Adan especially (our favorites!). They make you feel at home with a group of friends wherever you are: at the beach, the pool, the lounge bar, or just walking around the resort. Unfortunately, my phone was stolen while at the bar one night and the entertainment staff was very helpful and kind about the situation, staying with us until security could understand the situation as well as checking in with us daily about the progress. They continued searching but my phone was never recovered (not the resorts fault but still put a little dark cloud over us). They made all the difference in the resort. The dining was superb! Definitely some of the best dining I have had at a resort. We ate at all but one restaurant (due to the number of nights we had) but wished we had been able to visit them all. I have no complaints about the food or entertainment. My only complaint would be that the front desk and concierge could have been better. They were cold and curt and honestly not very helpful. There was a problem with our reservation and it didn't get resolved until our second to last day. It should have been taken care of prior to our stay. There are other resorts in the vicinity that have all of this. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and the food but probably wouldn't choose this resort again. But if you are looking for a family stay that is all inclusive and fun, this is a nice place..just look at all of your options first.

Room Tip: Garden rooms are the best because they are far from the hustle and bustle of the late night activiti...

The first impression of the hotel is stunning and the staff amazing, this won't change through the stay, and the staff are amazing, they don't do it, I suspect, for great financial reward they are just attentive, always smiling and will do anything to enhance your stay. The food was okay, some smashing meals but also, some quite adverage, but there are so many choices this isn't a problem. My favourites were the "Asian" and, of course the Mexican!

If I had one whine, no pun intended is the hard sell on wine. This is all inclusive and the house wines are very good, the wines that are offered at every meal aren't bad, just very expensive, but again it's down to choice, take it or leave it.

The sights at Tulum are well worth a visit you can get a cab for 15 US or the bus from outside the hotel for less than a pound, but you should go they are worth it, just go early if you can and avoid the bus tours!

We had such a wonderful time here. We were hesitant to go to an all inclusive, but Dreams Tulum was so welcoming, comfortable and fun. The staff is amazing, especially the activities team. A big shout out to Carolina and Brando! The food was delicious and fresh. We actually loved the buffet over the sit down restaurants. The pool area can be loud, so if you want a quieter room, go for the garden view. Speaking of garden view, the grounds were beautifully kept. We met a lot of really great people and even took advantage of the public transportation to go into Tulum and rent bikes. We also took it to Akumal beach to snorkel with the sea turtles. I am already planning our next visit to Dreams Tulum.

Room Tip: None of the rooms are far away from anything, so if you want quiet choose garden view, if you like t...

All-inclusive fare as made popular by Club Med, without the racket and silly stuff like staff in a full time entertainment mode. Nice location at the beach, two swimming pools, seven restaurants. Food is OK, especially breakfast in the seafront restaurant and dinner in the Italian themed restaurant Portofino, whereas the sushi bar is below average. Staff is very kind and attentive. Make sure to pay a visit to the nearby Maya ruins of Tulum and (especially) Chichen Itza. If you leave the resort at 7 AM, you'll arrive at Chichen Itza in time, before the big masses from Cancun and other resorts drop in. Rental cars to be had at Avis desk in hotel lobby - make sure they tell you at what time to return the car. The guy we spoke with said it had to be returned by 4:30 PM, turned out to be 9:00 AM the next day. No refund offered.
