We met David the owner he was absolutely wonderful . We ate there quite often Our favorites were the best fish tacos We were staying at another place but often went there for yoga and just the warm inviting vibe. A must go place whilst in Tulum .

Room Tip: did not stay in rooms just experienced restaurant and yoga classes!

This is an overdue review; I spent a week at Ahau Tulum in March 2013. The service at the hotel was great, the location was stunning and the food at the restaurant was delicious. I stayed on the top floor of a Bali hut and had no complaints. I would only recommend the Bali hut to folks that don't mind a basic and rustic accommodation. I was perfectly comfortable on my own, but I think sharing the room with another person would be a tight squeeze.

Ahau has improved greatly since my first visit immediately after they opened. I've talked to many travelers that know the area quite well and they all say that this is the "best property in Tulum". I could not agree more. It is nothing short of magical, go there now, go there often.

I was with my boyfriend at the Ahau Tulum for 6 days mid of december. It was just beautiful. We booked a master suite at the beach and got the upper room at this wonderful beachhouse. It was room 6 and could just not be better. A very nice balcony with terrific view, seeing the sun coming out in the morning and total privacy. The service is perfect, waiters are so nice. Especially Martin and Martin, but Jorge was just the best! He was so fast, running for our order, good talking with him and just so a nice guy!
We enjoyed the good food, fish and also the club sandwich in the afternoon on the beach (very good). But also the drinks are so delicious, the mixed fruit drinks in the morning or the mojito and strawberry daiquiry or other cocktails are soo good.
The resort is very relaxing, no stress, very nice people and good vibrations. I can highly recommend it.
There are also some small restaurants just on the street when you come out of the hotel. the first one is very nice, or the 'Hartwood' is very good to eat.
We had just beautiful holidays in Ahau Tulum and will come back some day... :-)

If you go to Tulum and what to stay close to the amazing beach you should really stay here! We stayed here for six nights and loved the food and the service minded personel. The only small thinking that we can complain about is that it was a bit dark in our hut in the evenings. Besides that lovely lovely lovely!

We stayed at Ahau for 4 nights and it was great. The cabanas are spacious and have amazing views. The layout and beach setup is one of the best in all of Tulum and we have walked up and down the beach many times. The food and drinks are also great and on weekends they grill fresh seafood on the beach - the grilled calamari is a MUST. Fantastic. We did a couples massage in a little dome-like structure that has just been built and it was much better than expected and very relaxing. The best part about our stay was the staff. From the girls in reception and front desk to the servers and managers of the bar/restaurant, everyone was so friendly and genuine. We got everything we wanted and more. Jill, Laura, Marco, Jorge, David - you guys all rocked. And if you want a great massage ask for Midai!
