“TexMex food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2014

The hostess was rude, but the food was good, great hot sauce, and the waiters were overworked.
Try the bacon wrapped jalapenos!!

“Great all rounder”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

We ate at lunch time, great Beer battered fish tacos and steak tacos. Reasonable price for Mexico $160 each. Shakes we're amazing! Plus they played football on a screen in the corner. Must got back at sun set!!!

“Good Food Right Near the Beach Road”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

We had both fish & meat tacos, burgers, ceviche, drinks and dessert (party of 8). The food was good, if a bit pricey.

“Fish Tacos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

Can't beat the fish tacos. Amazing. Expensive for an outdoor cafe but worth it. Everything was good including green drink and coffee. Don't miss it.

“Count your cash infront of waiter or they will scam you”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

Food was below average at this place

But.... the most scandalous thing happened.

Our waiter was a nice guy , very cultured and hard working.
When we paid (cash) another waiter took the money in a suspiciously fast manner.
When our waiter returned the "change" he asked is this ok? and we saw that it seemed that only 7 pesos had been left as a tip. We disagreed and went to talk to the other waiter and he asked the cashier . She said that there were no four 20 pesos bills in our payment. My husband and I had arranged them neatly on the table and discussed the appropriate tip.
They scammed us, or one of the waiters, and that is very unacceptable.

We will never return to this place and be ware of your cash in the following situations in Tulum

Restaurants (count the cash twice infront of waiter)
Gas stations ( count the cash infront of service provider and be aware of the resemblance of the 20 bill with the 200 and of the 50 pesos bill with the 500)
Policeman ( they will say that you were speeding and charge 150 dollars threatening to take away your licence on a Sunday and saying that the office opens on Monday) . Its not nice to be in the hands of corrupt policemen.... I am so shocked.
