“Oh, so wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

After climbing virtually every ruin on the peninsula, be Tulum was our reward. Close to the end of Tulum's resort strip, Be Tulum is architecturally interesting without being presumptuous. Our room was lovely. Not overdone but definitely urban chic. Space to breathe with our own plunge pool, indoor and outdoor shower as well as hammock. A surprising sense of roominess throughout the resort despite its compact nature. The beach, of course, was wonderful. Be Tulum's arrangements make it impossible not to be comfortable as you relax in or out of the sun. And don't miss the restaurant. Freshness and creativity of the food -- at breakfast, lunch and dinner -- were unbeatable. Completing the perfect stay, the staff earn high praise. All were extremely charming and warm. While undoubtedly answering the same questions from each question, they treated us with kindness and genuine caring. And extreme graciousness in helping my struggling Spanish. A charming, upscale yet warm and personal experience. Highly recommended!

we stayed for 2 nights in November 2012.No issues at all with the facilities or staff. all 5 out of 5. beach is one of the best. top 3 beaches I've been to.
The hotel is vey relaxed and the staff were great, our room was next to the pool area and was very private. A few things did make me feel that we didnt get the full Be Tulum experience I was hoping for. When we were taken to our room there was construction work going on to room above us, The staff got the guys to stop work which was fine. The next day the work continued, didnt worry us to much as were hired the bikes to go for a ride to the ruines. ( nice bonus to have this ) on our return the work was complete but the rusty nails which were left around the front of our room I would not call 5 star. after collecting the nails ( at leat 10 ) putting them aside I mentioned this to a staff member. They were very sorry, and had a word to the staff.
Our biggest problem was the sandfly, we were given insect repellent by the staff, but I don;t think mexican repellent is strond enough. our second night we were bitten to pieces ( not bed bugs) my partner and I had red marks all over us, ( 20 odd just on my hand )Bad enough to go to a doctor to get a shot and took 7 days for the bites to go away. Not sure if this was just the case cause of the rooms location or if the upstairs rooms wouldn't be as bad but I wouldn't want to go back to find out which is a shame, cause we really loved the place.

Room Tip: Get an 2nd floor room out of the mangroves

Stayed two nights at this amazing hotel after "roughing" it at a terrible hotel further down the coast. Literally booked the room 6 hours before checking-in and felt so lucky this was the only room we found available on the beach. BeTulum Hotel was so special and amazing that we wished we would have come here to begin with. Relaxed out on one of the beach-side beds for the entire day. The room was really beautiful with an indoor/outdoor plunge pool.

The minute we walked in, we saw a famous person staying here which added to the unique experience. Actually almost everyone staying here looked like they could have been famous somewhere.

Was a tad more pricey than our original budget but ended up being exactly the right kind of splurge to turn a "meh" vacation into an amazing memory.

The staff was so helpful and nice. The food and the drinks were really good.

Could not recommend Be Tulum more. Will certainly return.

Room Tip: Downstairs rooms have private plunge pools. We were in the 1st room just off the road near the front...

We really enjoyed our stay at Be Tulum!

The rooms were immaculate and the design of the resort is perfect. Be Tulum makes you fell like you are in paradise. If we go back to Tulum, Be Tulum will be our first pick.

Room Tip: Choose a room with your own pool.

We spent 5 days in November in this fantastic location and I assure you that these days were the best part of a wonderful vacation in Yucatan. From the first moment everything was nice and easy. We checked in at evening and were walked through a wonderful illuminated garden to our room which was perfect. This place is a little paradise - we took off our shoes for 5 days and left the place just for buying some post cards (lost time ;-)) Imagine a cosy kind of djungle with luxury appartments, an excellent bar with some remarkable cocktails, a superb restaurant (try the ginger chicken and the french toast) and a brilliant service. Thank you guys - you are great. Everything was just a wish away. The days a this wonderful beach were much too short but could be prolonged with a drink at the campfire in the sand. You here the sea, the wind, the ice in the glass - that's it, a hideaway and much more a private club than a hotel.
We will definitely come back - soon.

Room Tip: We had a room near the reception with a pool and a garden. Because of the djungle kind character of...

Everything was close to perfection during our stay.
Even though the location is already ideal, the beach stunning and the hotel is really beautiful, it is the attention to small details that makes such a difference at Be-Tulum. Everything is thought with the demanding, well-traveled, yet relaxed guest in mind.
Special mention goes to the staff for their kindness and anticipation of our needs all the time.
I would highly recommend it but please keep it a secret!!!
