I was told that Tulum is a beautiful place with a lot of beach front hotel with a concept of " cabanas" I booked few days at the be tulum because of the very good comments that we can read on tripadvisor. When I get there I saw buildings and not cabañas!! the food was regular but very expensive and they charge you comissions for everything.
After few days there I discovered that you have several hotel with better rates!!!!!
So a advice if you are looking for the tulum concept " cabanas beach front" don't go to the "BE TULUM"!!! I stayed one night at " Ana y Jose" and it's better and cheaper!!!

The jungle rooms with the pool are super clean and comfortable. The front desk is very helpful and the staff at the beach is friendly and great. Fernanda especially is super accommodating and knows the lay of the land. The outdoor/indoor shower is super cool. If you are looking for a mass of amenities this is probably not the hotel for you but, if you're looking to go and relax in a couple different hammocks and be surrounded by natural beauty, candle light then take good company and go to this hotel.

As we left, the front desk offered us a percentage off our next stay. Next time I stay I'm going for the room with the pool on the rooftop!

To compare Be Tulum (or any other hotel in along the Quintana Roo beachfront) to a typical resort would be unfair. Each makes it's own power by wind, sun and/or diesel, so lighting is LED and not bright. Rooms are simple and made of concrete (helps with heat). It is no surprise that you don't drink the tap water. It was a big surprise that the toilets (here and elsewhere) can't handle toilet paper. Instead, bathrooms at Be Tulum have small stainless steel receptacles that are emptied twice daily.

Positives of Be Tulum include air conditioning, ability to use hair dryers and curling irons, very helpful staff, a very good (and reasonably priced) restaurant and a beautiful beach and pool.

Pricing might raise your initial expectations to Ritz-Carlton levels. However, in the context of neighboring facilities (location, location, location) and their amenities, it is "up there" but not unreasonable,

Room Tip: Be Tulum is a rather compact resort. Even the "Jungle Rooms" are not that far from the bea...

Have traveled and stayed in many 4-5 star hotels around the world. BeTulum is an amazing hotel with incredible service. Was very happy with our room (19) and all the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Loved the fresh fruit in the mornings and afternoon guacamole. Will definitely be returning.

Room Tip: room 18 or 19...19 is an Arena suite in the same location as the Ocean suites...which is where we we...

The hotel is nice and located in a beautiful place, but it is way too expensive for what you get. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. Beach service is good. Rooms are very large, but almost devoid of furniture; they take the minimalist approach to the extreme. My advice is to look elsewhere in Tulum; for the price that Be charges for rooms you can do a lot better at other hotels. We checked out the rooms in another hotel after we arrived and regretted not staying there (the rooms were nicer and cheaper). Food at the restaurant is good.

Room Tip: If you are a couple, make sure that you phone ahead and get a room with a king-size bed. We were in...

I was at Be Tulum for a wedding. This was my second trip to Tulum and my experience was wonderful. The staff at Be Tulum were exceptional and very accomodating. The rooms are beautiful and the food was excellent as well. I would recommend staying there to anyone.

This is the perfect place for couples who just want to get away from it all.
I will give an honest interview. The place is gorgeous and very well maintained. We found the hotel food better than any restaurant we ate at. The food was FANTASTIC! The room were very big. We had an upper floor with a double person jacuzzi and a great balcony plus an indoor and outdoor shower. LOVELY...
Negatives....
Roosters start to crow every morning at 4:00 AM and go on till 5 AM... so bring ear plugs.
That is my only negative.....
We rented a car from the Cancun airport so we were able to go into town and to the ruins without having to get into a taxi.
The beach is gorgeous! The hotel staff are awesome.
It was a perfect 4 days.

Room Tip: The lower rooms with the pools are all in the shade and the pools are cold. I prefer the upper roo...
