We walked in after a long drive from Chichen Itzu, and we were very pleasantly surprised by our experience. The restaurant is small, but nicely decorated and very clean. In fact, one of us walked by the kitchen, and he commented it was the cleanest restaurant kitchen he had every seen. We had two small children with us, and even though Ginger's menu is not very large, they suggested some butter noodles and veggies for the little ones (off the menu). That was very thoughtful of the staff, and permitted the parents to order what they would like for themselves. I had the pesto, and I have never had better pesto anywhere! It was very flavorful, but not greasy at all, and the grilled veggies were cooked just right (not overcooked like in so many pasta dishes). The others had the seafood and the filet mignon, and everyone just raved and raved about the food. IMO, the best food in Tulum.
