We really enjoyed Hechizo. It's off the beaten path, but worth it. We had the 5 course prix fixe menu, and while all of it was excellent, I'm still thinking about the dark chocolate cake with the passion fruit sauce. Unfortunately I live in Wisconsin, and passion fruit is not something they stock at the local grocery store.
And while the food was amazing, the best part of this place was actually the chef. We asked our waiter for a wine recommendation, and his response was to bring the chef out to recommend something. And the chef just comes out of the kitchen every once in a while to check on everyone. It was just really cool to see his passion for cooking.
We were just at Hechizo for dinner, but the setting was beautiful, and it would have made a great place for a wedding rehearsal dinner or a family get together.
