“The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

This was hands down the best dining in Tulum. The fish was amazing and the pasta too! The bread bowl with cauliflower was so yummy. We asked for seconds on the cauliflower, who knew it could be so good :-). The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, from the candle lit walkway to the beautiful hostess. A must try in Tulum

“Overpriced average food - even for the beach”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012

The restaurant is well kept, on the beach, with a beautiful appearance. The bruschetta was pretty good. However, the food was overpriced for the quality. We both experienced pastas. They were cooked very al dente which is not to my taste, but the quality of the pasta itself seemed very good. Our biggest complaint was that the sauces in both dishes seemed very bland - lacking much in seasoning or spice. His shrimp were well prepared but otherwise, very unimpressed compared to other restaurants in the area. Also, we spent about 400 pesos per person, and this did not include any wine or beverages other than water. Please also note, this place is cash only. Service was pretty good, but otherwise, would not return to this restaurant. There are restaurants with better italian food in the beach area - particularly for the price. However, if you want a pretty setting to drink a bottle of wine and price is of little concern, and location is convenient, you might do well here.

“Very good food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

I'm Italian and I can say that the pasta dish that I had was delicious! Just like my grandma would make it! My husband had a fish filet and it was really good too. We definitely recommend this restaurant

“Italian food in Tulum...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

The ambiance is fantastic. It's right on the beach and the white finish on the floor and walls is beautiful. The staff is very nice and helpful as well. The pasta, which is homemade is good. I had the taglierini with shrimp and my husband had the fettucine with mushrooms and broccoli. Both dishes were tasty but suffered from a bit too much oil...and not very good oil either. If these dishes were $10-12 pasta dishes, that would be fine, but they're around $20+ each. A bottle of their most inexpensive wine and these 2 pasta dishes cost $90 US. It was certainly an enjoyable lunch, but I do not think the food warrants the very high prices.

“pricey but very good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

At here ona recent trip to Tulum. Service was excellent, and the restaurant itself is very well decorated despite being on a beach, an inviting place that you want to sit down in. The menu was limited but that was a good thing - they only were preparing what they had fresh ingredients for. My wife had a fish dish and me a vegetarian tattiagle (is that right?) dish. Both were excelent, simply prepared but with care. Likewise, the bread plate they bring out is fantastic, various focaccias and cheese, very high quality. This is real rustic italian food prepared in a beautiful setting. Frankly, I thouhgt it was a bit pricy, as in Mexico City I can get similar quality Italian food for about 20% less. That said, they saw me coutning my cash (they except only cash) as I was wearing swim trunks and a t shirt and didn't have so much money on me, and they said Ic ould pass by and pay the rest the next day if I wanted. Wow. Anyway, a terrific place if you are in Tulum and are willing to open your wallet, and it is dog friendly too.
